First off let me apologize... I know there are already several threads from new users trying to figure out what the best model is. I've done my best to read them and I must admit I'm still unsure. I know that a lot of what is said here comes down to opinions and preferences, however I need some personalized help =) It seems that the more I read the more confused I get and more questions pop into my head. If anyone can find the time and feel the kindness long enough to read below and offer up your knowledge it would be tremendously appreciated.
Background: I don't smoke that much, approximately half a pack of Camel Lights a day, but have been smoking for 10+ years (would prefer NOT to think about it more specifically then that) I have NEVER before even considered quitting. I am not foolish enough to think I am not addicted to nicotine but have found that with my ADHD, the behavioral pattern seems to be the most problematic. Until the e cigarette came along nothing offered seemed to address this problem. Plus, I do actually enjoy the act of smoking just not the cancer, tar, and death part.
Questions/Problems: Below are the questions I have and some of my confusions...
Vapor: I see people write about how light versus how dense the vapor is from one type of unit or another but I am having trouble visualizing it. Where does light versus dense fall in comparison to an analog cigarette?
2 piece vs. 3 piece: This is an opinion thing, I think... I am drawn to the idea of a 2 piece unit which allows me the ability to change a cartridge before it's finished. However I have read about cartridges actually burning... is this still occurring? I can not remember how old those posts were. Also I think it was said that they do not provide as much vapor as 3 piece units. How much difference are we talking about? Are 3 pieces heavier? What about cost to maintain for the life of the unit? Does the unit life change?
Number/Initials: I see people refer to units as numbers and honestly... have no idea what you're talking about or where to find out =) 510, 901, 4081, etc. Also PG, VG? I need a dictionary please!
What I am looking for: I am searching/seeking a unit that is as close as possible to smoking an analog cigarette. Criteria I'm concerned with is weight, size and vapor. I'm pretty sure I want an automatic unit (pushing a button seems odd to me). I'd like one that offers pre-filled cartridges (don't have time to fiddle with things), different flavors and most importantly a good range of nicotine levels. I don't want to have to drop straight from 8mg to none. I don't care too much about looks but know I don't want something that's going to make my throat itch or burn (if possible, that might just be the way these things go)
Brands: The one's I have found online that I am initially drawn to are
Green Smoke
Blu (I think the charging case is very cool)
Volcano (I think the charging case is very cool)
Green Tip
Any Help would be VERY helpful. (PS While I am looking to save money in the long run I do understand that there will be an initial investment in these... at this time I am not basing my decision on price, only what the best one for me is)
THANKS!!!
