Still the point of personal and public safety elude you Rat. Did I think I'd get kicked out for being truthful and not belittling the salesman? No. Did I feel I was educating both parties and helping them to come to a purchase that would benefit both parties? Yes. Had the salesman been more professional the customers would have bought something and he would have been more educated. Let's go back to your apples an oranges comment. Again apples = pissing on the floor and being kicked out, oranges = educating customer and seller and being kicked out. Your arguments are full of holes, hypocrisy, and bad comparisons. Go back under your bridge, troll.

So I guess it's just fine with you to send someone out with something potentially dangerous right? If the coil came loose or the lead touched the and the user just kept smashing the fire button, because they didn't know any better, and BOOM explosion. I'm sure that that potential outcome is ok with you huh? Stopping somebody before they have a chance to have something dangerous happen is preventative measure. I was looking out for the safety of others along with trying to avoid another bullet for ANTZ to use against us. Keep on keeping on man, being silent and unhelpful. I'm sure you're a great person.

Oh, calm down already.

Ironically, the ANTZ justify their, er... "vigorous tactics", with the exact same argument. Be careful how you justify your actions, lest you submerge yourself to their level, dragging all of us along for the ride. (no insult intended, just speaking frankly).

Personally, I would not have intervened while inside the store. That is the owner's domain, bought, paid for, and maintained by him. How he chooses to administrate it will eventually determine his success or downfall, but that is his lesson to learn, not yours to teach. From your description, it appears you only succeeded in inciting the store owner to anger, while intimidating and probably scaring away two potential new vapers. I can only imagine what went through their heads... "Whoa, this vaping s**t is way too intense for us! Safer/Less complicated to just keep smoking! Bye bye!"

However, out on the sidewalk, in public, you are free to say and do as you wish. If it had been me, and I'd determined it was worth my time and effort, I'd have waited outside and talked to the folks there. Double however, I would not have directly chastised the store owner, but rather tactfully explained that perhaps his advice was a bit..."ambitiou$" for beginner vapers. From there, educate, recommend, suggest, rinse, repeat, and now you've done your good deed for the day.

It's obvious that we all agree with you...safety is important. No need to go on the defensive there. The argument at hand is over your chosen method of execution. If you simply go charging in with guns blazing "in the name of safety", you're no more deserving of respect than the ANTZ you're emulating. Tactics, think about it.

"Everyone hops on the we must protect our fellow vapor from the B&M Boogey Man...Comical." Hear hear! Entirely too much circle jerking of this nature going on here lately.

Settle down. Honestly, there wasn't really a need to go on some White Knight of vaping crusade at the store. Plus, we don't know if what you said is actually how it happened. Maybe you mouthed off to the shop owner and were being a jerk. Either way, it's not your problem, let it be their (the b&m's) problem if something happens.

I walked in there on an attempt to be a customer. I didn't go in looking to fight a Vaping Crusade. I was polite and didn't call out or make the salesman look like an idiot. He got mad that I was telling then that setup was too advanced after I heard what the customer was actually looking for. I went in to look for backup juice since they were close by. I understand that you think it should be the B&M's issue, but what are the reports gonna be about f something happens? It's not gonna be "B&M sells Advanced Device that injures Customer", it's gonna be another how general vaping is extremely dangerous headline.

Like I said I wasn't being a jerk or mouthing off. Even when I got asked to leave I didn't start a huge deal. I put my potential purchases on the counter and left. This situation could have been any situation, I would have said something if I had enough knowledge to back it up. I don't like being taken advantage of and I don't believe that others should either. And yes it happens all the time, in a million places all over the world. But if I could help one or two people, what's the shame in that? What's wrong with actually saying something instead of sitting back and letting something wrong happen. I suppose to each their own.

Also as far as B&M Boogie men are concerned. There are a few B&Ms I've been I that have been great. But since it's becoming a fad in this area there are 90% terrible stores vs the 10% of good stores. I'm not telling people not to shop there, I just said I prefer online shopping because it's cheaper and I can do my research while reviewing a product and not have someone lie to my face about the products I'm interested in.

Doing it in front of the store owner was a bush league move. I have done it many times....in the parking lot. Tact and common sense go a long way. The sheer volume of your responses says much about you. I understand.

Sad that one would risk danger to someone for the sake of a dollar although that seems to be the norm these days. I agree with turning them into the BBB, if they are going to be giving advice they need to know what the heck they are talking about. By the way, where can I find more information on batteries? I'm not sure I'm doing the battery thing correctly.
