Hello all, im very new to this e smoking idea
(infact i havent even purchased one)

I smoke. i also enjoy doing it alot more for fun then for a nicoteen high.
i know that they sell nicoteen free filler liquid but that seems kinda silly.

my question. dose the contraption work if you use only like tap water?
i could then justify doing it all day long with absolutly no guilty feeling.

thank you all.

Yes, yes it will work on water.

Also...

-- your car doesn't need gasoline -- it will run on water too.
-- know that contraption on the side of your house where the electricity comes in? I've heard you can remove that and replace it with a D cell battery.
-- propane gas buyers are suckers too. Remove the tank and hook up a can of the wife's hairspray.

No, dude. An e-cig won't work on water. Nice try though. =)

wow! way to go in taking a total noob down a notch or two.

unfortunately, not only are your analogies really bad, they're also totally misdirected. the OP isn't asking about using water as fuel. can I get vapor from an internal combustion engine? sure can! poor some water over it while it's hot. can I get vapor from a propane gas grill? sure can! poor some water over it while it's hot!
you lost me on the D cells . if you had enough and an inverter, you can run a house on batteries. hmmm, maybe the solar energy crowd should look into that.......

* Nice try though. =( * :rolleyes:

I actually tried using water only with my first little e-cig. The filled cartridges ran out, and I didn't have any refill liquid, so I wet the cartridge material with water. Result: no vapor, bad metallic taste, and dry cartridges in about five minutes. Water evaporates too quickly when it hits the heating element.

You could buy a bottle of pure food-grade vegetable glycerin in the cake baking/crafting section, in a drugstore, or online, and dilute that with a little water. And see how you like it. It's economical, that's for sure.

That reminds me of this book I'm reading about off the grid wind energy systems. people would take semi-truck batteries, run them together and have them charged off of a micro-turbine and sometime solar also. Meanwhile while the micro-turbine can turn a shaft to pump water from the well. Good stuff. Not very relevant to the post, but I thought I'd share because it was interesting.

DO NOT USE WATER!!!! i had a dead cart and decided to top it off with a few drops of water and it destroyed my atty i had to drain it for a week before it was usable again DO NOT EVER USE WATER EVER!!!
If it worked after a week of draining it wasn't destroyed. No reason to try and vape water, but water IS the universal solvent and is good for cleaning. You just have to blow it out and let it drain and dry before using it.

When I clean attys I do a final rinse with a little water mixed with about 20% glycerin then dry it. The little bit of residual glycerin leaves it primed for wicking e-juice so there is no break in period or bad taste.

I've had one atty fail in over 40 days and it failed because I kept it too hot for too long with a 5 volt mod. It burned open and was done.
