Steeping in hot water question

I have seen posts on steeping ejuice in hot waterbut at what temperature should the water be at? I have and instant hot at 190 degrees F and hot tap water at 120 degrees F. Should it be boiling? I know enough to keep the kids off. Do you I leave the bottles in the water until the water cools?

You want to keep the water at 150 or less,keep the caps on the bottle's,and personally yes i leave them in until the water cools,then usually i will repeat the process again.

One thing though,always try your mix fresh,sometimes they dont need to steep.Another option,is if you have a crock pot,you can steep in those,same process,cap on,water at 150 and let it go from 2-4 hours,just make sure to use glass bottles,as the plastic may melt.I use the crock pot for stuff like tobacco flavors,etc. that really need a good long cycle,but most stuff i just heat a cup in the microwave and let them soak a few times.

...or you can consider it's anyone's best calculated guess...it use to be 120 and now it's 150, next month it may be 170 or you might degrade your nic a fraction of a percent. If I put my juice in my CP, I turn it on low and drop the bottle in for a couple hours. I don't really care what the temp is, but then I don't obsess over much to do about nothing.
