Um... what tank and coil are you using? If you're using the tank that came with the T-Priv, it's only going to run in wattage mode. The coils in that tank are either Kanthal or NiChrome... No TC compatible coils available outside of using an RBA.

My first thought is what @Shawn Hoefer said above.

If your trying to use your mod in TC, the coils in the tank must be TC compatible. To the best of my knowledge, SMOK coils (kanthal) are not compatible for TC.

Stainless steel wire can be used in dual roles (wattage or temperature control mode). Nickel (Ni200) and Titanium (Ti1) are exotics that can only be used in temp control mode on a TC mod.
Ni wire in Ni mode only.
Ti wire in Ti mode only.
SS in either TC mode if SS is supported, or watt mode.
Kanthal in watt mode only.
So make sure in settings your mod is in wattage or power mode.

I tried Titanium and Nichrome for TC. Once I discovered SS316 stainless steel I never looked back. As Baditude said, you need to find compatible coils for your tank to use TC mode. The best route (and cheapest over time) is to buy a rebuildable atomizer and wind your own coils. It's cheaper and you get to play with coils to see what you like best. A 100' roll of wire will cost you about $7 and will last for a year or more.

If you want a reasonable priced atomizer that will perform well in DTL or MTL mode with high or low airflow, check out the Coppervape Skyline clone at Fasttech. It's one of the few attys that seems to check all the boxes for flavor, vapor, and versatility.

This is the one I recently bought. It's a winner in my book.
