Both have pretty tight windows of power (watts) because of the ohms, airflow and actual construction. They were designed 1.5-2 years ago. The power that is being used is quick to over-power them.

When I used the PT2s, I sat between 7-9 watts. I added the air flow attachment and that would let me go up to maybe 11 watts before it got hot (for me). Even the drip tip is not fabricated to disperse/reduce heat.

The Nautiluses, I had about 6 of them, did better for flavor and that was really the "thing" at the time. Cloud-making, as we see today, just wasn't part of the design. But their construction let me go a little higher in power if I wanted.

Both of them, using stock coils at the time, was limiting. Rebuilding the coils or using a newer coil insert may change things, but not by much.

Your Kanger Ipow is also a limiter, but, not as much compared to the PT2/Nauties, in my mind having owned several mini-tube mods.

To determine your upper limit, for you, set you power low and slowly raise it until flavor drops off and heat gets tooo hot.

Your set-up is plenty to keep you from smoking. Flavor and clouds just shouldn't be expected. To go in that direction means education/understanding and money.

This forum is used mostly by hobbyists, so you would read as much about those using set-ups like yours very much. They got their set-up, are happy, and getting off cigs.

Thanks for your reply, I think you might think Im a newbie lol many do so don't worry! I been vaping since 2011 :) I just did not understand why that coil was able to produce more watts. I am new to a VW device just used Joye 510s, 510-Ts, Egos, then standard EVOD BCC (once I got to the EVOD BCC Clearo Tank I was able to fully quit smoking!) Well the plastic EVODS crack you know but got couple years out of them and just set my nephew up with last ones and letting him use my EVOD VV battery I had ended up getting about same time I got the Pro Tank 2's. I got 4 of the PT2's and love them! Its just first time with a Variable Wattage device, but I love it! Glad to know I can try to venture above 8 watts with them I just was staying in the green on the Vaping Power Chart. But I am just a flavor chaser! Most juices I like at lower watts better, some have some different notes that come out above 6 watts. I have tried a Sub Ohm kit and just didnt really care for it. Id be happy going to 10-12max... I will get a Nautilis eventually but I like to have multiple tanks and the prices of them have not really dropped at all like the Pro Tanks. Since found out air flow was the key to getting more watts with the same ohm and it help give some better flavor. I will get a air flow adapter for the PT2 lol I am not vaping for a hobby just to give me my nicotine and be cheaper then smoking was! Some like to chuck clouds...thats all cool just not my thing..but I have heard the coil design was cutting edge wihen they designed the Nautilis and gives much better flavor then the Pro Tanks so I will like to get one...right now 25$ for a tank is price online I saw at the site I frequent for parts and bargain juice although I see they carry a couple premium juices now also. I just got some Propaganda Juice and wow it is very good!!!! Its a new company and only the Wild Fire one flavor that was a Almond Nut and Cookie flavor I didnt like out of there 6. But I guess vaping has took a different direction and there really aint no new tanks coming out, or any new coil designs for the current tanks on market for a few years, all sub ohm and clouds. Its took a turn to a hobby and events like cloud comps instead of just using to not smoke...I know many that vape with high watt mods that never even smoked...but to each there own..thanks for the reply and VapeOn!!

I remember when I first got on here, the vaping community has changed a bunch! But back in day we was limited a lot! I do still see some that I followed back in day cause it been awhile since I had been on here of checking out any reviews on YouTube but some still use basically what I use or I have seen some still using cartomizers even! But its 90% high watt sub ohm mods a cloud chuckers. I said long time ago I was sticking to what worked and only bought this newer pen mod for the increased battery life. But seeing what it can do and getting used to watts instead of just adjusting volts on the 2.2ohm coils, but got some lower resistance coils on the way. I had used the LR cartos back in day when they was popular then made switch to clearo/tank and stayed there lol
