This was probably the most compact three cell mod I tested last year.

It was the wismec rx tinker as I remember.

Thanks for the new comments, will have a look at them soon, however, I was too impatient to wait for the R217, so I got the Voopoo Drag 2 instead. It's good, but I think I may be using a setting incorrectly. The watts are fine, below 60 which is the highest recommended. For the first hour there was no issues, but I went messing with the settings (maybe turned the temp up too much (the top was roasting at one point, but I also don't know anything about SS, TI and NI. I think someone said that depends on the kind of coil. All I know is the tank is called UFORCE, and it says U2 Min on the coil.

I have the temp turned down now as far as i know unless it resets.
I don't know what the FIT setting does.

There's no burn taste if I take a quick drag, but if I keep it for about three seconds it starts to burn which definitely wasn't happening earlier.

Also, the juice kind of goes into my mouth, I guess that's simply because of the amount of power, and then of course it burns juice like no tomorrow.

Other than that it's very good and fairly happy with it.

Thomas M, not too certain but I believe that Voopoo Uforce coils may be made using Kanthal. And if they are Kanthal, they cannot be used in Temperature Control mode.

But if you're having issues, perform a factory reset on your mod. This will reset all the settings.

Then if you're using Wattage mode you'll have a have a Hard, Normal and Soft setting. Work your way from Soft to Hard and see what you like better.

As above Thomas.
Don't touch temp control or get temp control coils until a bit later on. They're a complex game for the advanced vaper and very few stock temp control coils are very good.
Look at your manual and switch to wattage mode.
Check the minimum wattage for that coil (usually written in tiny writing on the coil) and stick around that level. Don't go to the max wattage listed as it's usually untenable and over stated.
Be sure to let your coil soak in eliquid (in the tank) for five minutes before first use and then start vaping at half the minimum wattage for that coil. After a few vapes, turn the wattage up in ten watt increments until you reach your desired level.

Oh just to add.
Check your eliquid vg level. Not a perfect way of.confirming viscosity but it's the best we have.
Keep your vg levels bellow 75% and preferably 70% vg for uk based eliquid as they do not add aqueous vg to thin the liquid like some US brands do.
Plenty of vape shops will sell you max vg juice to use in a stock coil sub ohm tank and it's just not going to wick efficiently and your coils will burn out quickly. Brands like dinner lady would be perfect.

Been using Max vg in crown 3 for awhile coils last 6 weeks 18mg nic 80w original drag .25 ohm coils they actually run a little lower than .25
Yeah some coils are better than others and I often still use the original crown but British max vg is thick and you have account for the lack of viscosity in countries that average 9°c.
A lot of US max by had aqueous vg included in that "max vg"
Try vaping some elements dripper liquid in a subtank. Like trying to vape hair gel.
It's going nowhere.

My vape shop makes there e juice so the vg isn't cut
As I say. By isn't a perfect viscosity measure but I've been testing hundreds of sub ohm tanks over here for years and I've found few exceptions and obviously I chose element as it's a well known US brand but I can put some element watermelon chill into the crown now and I may be able to take a single vape every ten minutes if I keep the tank warm. But I doubt it.
But I'm always open to finding a vg supplier of quality that can make max vg (again max means very little we assume it's in the 90%+ range) that will universally wick in sub ohm tanks. That would be great.
I think the short-lived I joy limitless stock coil sub ohm tank held the record for wicking the thickest liquid over here in testing.

That's not calling your juice guys liars by the way, lol.
Just a good rule of thumb with the juices available here.
We've always recommended keeping vg in a sub ohm tank under 70% for plain sailing unless someone can recommend a juice that works for them in a similar set up.
Just a tip to avoid disappointment and issue's for new vapers. Especially in this part of the world. It's frikin cold here and in island and it really does effect wicking.
I couldn't get some lemon tart 70%vg to squeeze through the piping of a squonker the other day when walking the dogs.lol.

Thanks guys, I just had a look but can't find any info on how to do a factory reset, I tried similar things to other mods, but no luck. I'll have to go back to the shop tomorrow I'd say.. And if you're wondering why I can't see it on the manual. I noticed there was none, the guy working there was going to get me one, until I told him not to bother and I'll find one online... Some luck

Hit the fire button 3 times it will switch modes as far as priming my coils the crown 3 coil has three prime holes cur out with cotton in it I wet the three holes then pore juice straight down the middle. Put it in the tank fill the tank, close the vents to almost shut and hit it with out power about 5 times good to go

Once it switches out of a mode that mode resets. I promise I tripped out when I had it in TC at 500 and I had no idea how I did it or how to go back to power mode
Yeah I see that now, I've brought to watts down very low, switched and it was high in another setting. However, in general even with low watts, the tank is getting roasting with hardly any time, and just there now I took a drag and after just a second the burn taste was disgusting. I guess I'm after completely burning out the coil, so even if I have it working correctly there's no chance of it tasting right again. It's hard to believe it's that easy to burn one out. I did have it on a very high setting earlier by accident though, just an early lesson I guess

I've done the whole put it in my pocket unlocked and smoked several coils like that
Ouch  I guess any potential damage is massively increased with these compared to the small mods. I think at one point I had it on 177 just to see if that was the definite max, but I forgot and had been vaping it. Only took about 3 normal drags by the time I realized (hard to believe that would fry it), but on top of that I also had it on temp (and I don't even know high or bad it was).
