Driving back from New Braunfels to San Antonio on I35 around 10:30 this morning, a guy in a big black vehicle waved. At first, I thought he was letting me know I was clear to change lanes because he wasn't going to take the spot.

Then, he got next to me again and waved again. I was wondering if he was trying to tell me something was wrong with my car. The confusion must have shown on my face. He gave me a thumbs up.

Oh! Must be my vape. I can't think of anything else it could be. I was using a P2.5 and carto-tank (so not anything dainty that could be mistaken for just a cig).

If you see this, whoever you are, send me a PM and say Hi! I'm the lady in the big red/maroon van.

Nice to run across people showing approval. :)

Once, me and another car were both halfway out in the intersection waiting to turn left at a red light. The dude in the other car kept staring at me, leaning forward blowing clouds at his windshield and making gestures that kind of said..look at me! roar! what you doing to do about it?! I laughed at him, held up my mod, nodded, and made my turn.

I've had that happen to me about 6 times in the past few years :) It took me a minute the first time to figure out why the guy was waving and smiling at me. All of them have always been young guys so i'm not sure if its simply because I'm vaping or because I'm an old grandma vaping :D

A young woman asked me if I was smoking while I was sitting in my car, parked in a lot yesterday. I said "No, it's an e-cig.", and held it up. She just said "Oh.", and drove off. Guess she wanted to bum a coffin nail. Lo siento chica, I'm no longer a slave of BT. If she'd stuck around, I'dve been glad to point her toward a B&M to get started vaping, but the pressing need for that next cancer stick must've been too strong to ignore. I remember that compulsion from my years as a smoker, and am very glad that it's merely a fading memory now.

It helps to have bumper stickers, "I Vape, I Vote" and "Vaping Saves Lives, No Butts About It" on both our vehicles. The ONLY stickers we've ever had on our cars. Hubby who's never been a smoker, but does "tootle" for flavor is mostly the one who's out and about. So, he gets the thumbs up on the road and has discussions when in for oil changes or repairs.

Once stopped at a Memphis 7-Eleven and was approached by a friendly vaper. While discussing mods, police car pulled up. Cop fella got out and approached grinning and holding his mod out. He was the cousin of the guy who first approached hubby. Whew! Hubby is way too old (74) to visit the "clinker".......especially one far away from home. Ha! :)
