One of the worst parts of vaping is learning it all, and knowing where to get it.
Read read read. the reading is important to learn all the little things along the way to finding what you need (this sucks, but is a necissary evil).

the other sucky thing is trying to find out who has the the newest doodad or best price.

How do we put together a pricewatch or newegg type website for vaping????

You are already there. The reviews section is very helpful. The vendors forums can give you some really nice access to the vendors and their products. The suppliers forum and the classifieds gives you access to a wide variety of products, information, access to people who make some of this stuff, and a place to buy/sell/trade to try out different stuff at (hopefully) reduced cost.

I suggest becoming as familiar with the forum and all the sub-forums as you possibly can.

Let me preface what I'm about to say, with something else I"m about to say: You are correct, this forum is IMHO #1 resource for any vapor.
That being said, I would love to be able to go to..... (we'll just name it) www.vaporegg.com type in "Riva 510 kit" and see a listing of REAL retailers who have that in stock, and what at what price.

I have found that I spend sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much time looking stuff up (I have my hands in too many pots) and sorting through erroneous..... stuff.

Or maybe it just takes me making an erroneous post to realize just how lazy and whiny I can be :D

Great Idea, but the vendors advertise here, and in other forums, and us forum users pass on tips about good deals etc. No vendor would support a site that gives every buyer the 10 places that sell a XXX MOD and heres all the prices, OH LOOK vendor 3 is $4 cheaper....by guys Im off to vendor 3. In order to find that best deal or sale..join the vendors sites and accept their newsletters and they will often tell you about specials and deals...prime example...Gourmet Vapor is running a %50 off sale through the fourth of July....if you know the code...join their newsletter and be informed.

I understand, however, Vapors are not going to see condensed easy access information websites until everyone State and Fed Gov'ts, FDA, General Public, etc., are on board with PV's as an alternative to smoking tobacco. ECF is the best format to date. Members are very supportive because all you have to do is ask a question and you will receive personal assistance from ECF members. We are like pioneers in the early stage of change and acceptance. Patience fellow vapor, once you find your Nirvana (PV, atty, juice, vendor) you will be satisfied. Think back a little.....when you smoked tobacco, I'm guessing you stayed with one brand regardless of how many brands were at your fingertips. Same way with vaping.... it's just takes a little more time to find your Nirvana.

I think a more appropriate model for this would be Techbargains.com. I don't know how they make money, but they have staff who's sole job(s) are to cruise the web for great deals, and folks can apparently submit deals they find which are verified before posting.

By not being associated with any one vendor they don't really care about vendor competition, but from some of the activity there I suspect that the vendors who are aware of them keep an eye out for what the competition is doing and create better deals so they can get time on the front page.

Works for me for tech/geek stuff - I check there every day for a couple of weeks before buying just about anything these days.

I guess you have to know how to search that site. I tried e-cigarette, Riva, Riva e-cigarette, and several others -- didn't come up with anything except some cheap $7.99 disposables and a bunch of computer stuff and other unrelated things.

Edited: Duh, I re-read your post, and I see that you didn't say you used that site for e-cig searches, just for 'tech' stuff. Sorry.

I'm going to just start over on this site. I've read tons of stickies, and learned alot including where to get certain items and what not.

The more I think about it, the less I want that type of website. Grass roots vendors are awesome, even if they aren't driven to crackhead cheap prices through stiff competition, and the quality and pride in product is usually better.

I guess I'm... jealous, for lack of a better description. there are just soo many cool mods and tweaks and new items, tech, and progress every day; it's hard to keep up with, and I want to know it all (personality flaw). Every time I try to find the answer to any 1 question, I find threads about some other cool vape things that have nothing to do with the question in question. Do we have a wiki? It would take alot of work to get a good one goin, but it would be a supreme way to cruise through all the different mods, accessories by fitment, options by fitment, carts, juice recipes, coupon codes, and whatever else.

The saga continues.
