Website Redesign Update

It's 4:49am Saturday and I'm running through the invoicing process and matching the website functions to the real-life operations of the store. So far, so good. If I have my druthers the website will be taking orders for a bit this afternoon/night.

I'm working on opening up but I don't want to do it until I'm a bit more familiar with the new admin area.

We will make the hardware a bit easier to browse in the following days as well as add in some much needed automation. There's a bit left to be done but it is all on the backend and shouldn't interfere with ordering.

Short answer, by tonight if I have my way.

EDIT: We will likely open at odd hours Saturday and Sunday with normal operating hours coming back Monday. Normal operations are 8am PST to open and we close once order capacity is reached. As we finish up the automation projects and website polish we hope to extend our opening time to 24/7. In the interim we will keep the website in catalog mode while we are closed. This will allow you to create a wish list that can be easily made into an order and processed once we are open.

For now international shipping is still not implemented. This is our primary focus as we move through this week. We should have a minimal USPS shipping selection soon (instead of our flat rate options) and hopefully a UPS option as well, however the UPS integration is still being held-up by some paper work hurdles so this may take extra time.

As for international shipping, is that something you plan to have sorted soon? I only ask because I'd like to put through a large order for Aussie Vapers forum members and have organised freight forwarding US to AUS but will wait and get it shipped direct from you if that will be an option soon.

Actually it was a hollow gesture to make look like a great guy. Ben calls me 5-9 times a day (what a pest..the man can't make a move with out me) anyway I knew before I posted the offer the store would be open on Monday.

Be sure to check your order through our website via your user account homepage. It will tell you if we have an order in the database even if you didn't receive a confirmation page.

The error that was causing the confirmation page to not show has been fixed. Let us know if you encounter any other issues. We are working hard to ensure we catch them all quickly as we open.

Thank you so very much. I just checked my order using the link you provided in my confirmation email. It does show that it is PENDING. I take it that means you do have it. I am saving a new wick for the day it arrive. LOL.

FINALLY!!!!

Had my cart full and as soon as they opened this morning I checked out....took all of 30 seconds and my order is in. Ordered enough Boba's to not need any more until Thanksgiving. No more checking this thread. No more reloading the website. No more hoping to get lucky.

I use Chrome....I have my account setup and my cart with my product. As soon as you opened I checked out and it processed....worked perfectly...no delays or timeouts, no issues at all. Got my confirmation email a few minutes later.

Dang, I got a phone call and was distracted. Checked the site at 11:09 and it was closed. THought for a minute that they weren't onening today before checking here and seeing that indeed they had opened. Guess I have to be more diligent tomorrow. Glad to see everyones starting to get their juices. Hopefully there won't be a need for this thread soon.

That might be disbelief but the truth is even worse. (More orders over less time)

On a side note, the server handled very well during its stress test today. Metaphorically, it got hit by a shotgun at close range and shrugged it off. As far as I know there were no communication errors, which was an issue during the redesign. Given the sudden load we experience at posted openings, an understandable issue.
