Drew,

I'm a professional web developer and I specialize in commerce sites. I have a few recommendations that would be very simple to implement that would make browsing your site bit smoother and easier for your customers.

For the High Voltage juice section you have the huge pulldown box with flavors right? Well instead of the way you are listing them, you should go with a 'nazi like' policy of the way those flavors are entered and it should be like this:

High Voltage: Flavor 1
High Voltage: Flavor 2
High Voltage: Flavor 3
etc.
etc.

Doing it this way for all of them would make the list easier to read and scan because the names of the flavors would all be lined up exactly like a column view. Trust me this would make a huge difference. I think the main reason the way you are doing it now hurts my brain is because most of them have High Voltage at the end, and a few have it at the beginning + I saw one or two with it in the middle, (ie Kent High Voltage 12 MG) and on that example, why does that one specify 12mg when they are all 12mg juices, its kind of confusing and makes you second guess what MG the rest are if you are a new customer.

Also with the high voltage juices (samples size for sure) I noticed some flavors are duplicated (cow tale) and one says High Voltage and one does not. It could confuse people.

So basically format and organize your juice selection drop down box a little bit better and more uniformly and that will go a long way for you. I might also suggest putting HV first and then alphabetizing the flavors.

Suggestion #2

On ANY juice option screen where you are "adding" a juice bottle to your cart, in addition the "add to cart" button, It would be awesome to have a "Add To Cart & Return Here" button so that when ordering multiple flavors you could pick a flavor, button, flavor, button, flavor, button, etc. Instead of going to your cart every time, clicking back.

Not a major thing, should only cost your developer an hour or less to do that. Hell, if you give me access I'll add that in for free for ya just because you guys are the best :)

PM me for the the access code and I will do better than just blow kisses...I'll make you my official beta tester...The reason it looks like it does now because I have added them all one or two at a time and I am typing challenged and usually add the flavors at the end of an 18 hour day...I have access for you!!!

Hey Lashes,

I do web development as well. Thanks for helping Drew - he needs it ;-)

You should've seen his site before his nephew gave it a makeover 8-o

E-Commerce eh? Prefer .NET or open source? Fav language to develop in?

Like any particular open source CMSes for e-commerce?

I started out with PHP/MySQL, now in the process of learning ASP.NET and C sharp. Very different beasts. Wish I had time to delve in RoR, but it might be awhile before I go into that world.

I've been a PHP Dev for 11 years. I'm in the process of writing my own Commerce & Content Management system. It's top of the line uses tons of AJAX so the app works like a desktop app even though its over the web and its beastly and has been completely written from the business owners point of view. Its pretty sick and is much better than any other commercial shopping cart system out there that i have seen. Unfortunately I still have another 6 months of development on it.

When Its done, I'll design Drew a super pimp site and give him a free license to use my system ;)

Ok, I re-did the HV flavoring list so its MUCH easier on the eye. I made sure to Uncheck "peanut butter cup" for the 30ml bottle because it was unchecked on the old list ;) Dont wanna start offering something you didnt have in stock on accident ;)

<-- pays attention to detail ;)

I also fixed a few spelling mistakes, though the whole site should really be gone through.

I made each JUICE category its own Category on the main menu. This gives people a much easier, "clear cut" way to get to what they want fast. Its a big help this way IMHO.

Now I gotta alphabetize the regular flavoring lists and I also want to duplicate the 30ml 3-pack to the High Voltage category so that people can access it from there as well, so they know they can get a 3-pack of high voltage juices ;)

Well, you're way ahead of me in this game. I have enough trouble figuring out how some of these CMSes work - writing my own is still way over my head.

Sounds like Drew's in good hands. :)

Very Nice! I have worked on some of my websites and it makes my brain hurt and eyes cross :p

They'll do that!

I was quite impressed by your XHALER video though. What software did you make it with?

OK - I got all the stuff organized Minus the LUNG Juice stuff, I'll be doing that later.

I added the 30ml 3-pack to the high-voltage category and for some reason I cant figure out how to move that to the bottom of the list instead of the top of the list.

Anyway Feedback is welcome, Drew, please double check the flavor availabilities on all juice items to make sure I didnt accidentally mark something in stock that is not available - I dont think I did but please just make sure!

I'm gonna have to talk to godaddy about how to add that "add to cart and return" button. I dont see an easy way to do it with this software :/

Fixed up lung juices section, didn't bother alphabetizing them because there are only a few flavors.

It was requested of me to fix some grammar issues on the "splash page" at NHaler ? Smoking Alternatives, however that is not controlled from the "store administrator" so drew I believe would have to give me access to somewhere else to do that.

I also figured out how to move the 3-pack 30ml HV to the bottom of the list instead of the top in the HV category. :)

Um... So yes, the only thing left as of right now would be to get that extra "add to cart and return" button, I'll call godaddy tomorrow and see if thats even possible. There is a chance that it isnt possible with their system :(

Drew: I'm glad you were so trusting with me to let me handle this for you, and you were right to trust me :) However I do want to err on the side of caution and in the future be careful who you just give unrestricted access to your store to. People that "say" they know what they are doing, might not always know what they are doing. It would be real easy for someone to accidentally break the whole store on you :)

I love it, it looks great! There are still a few typos, inconsistent capitalizations, & spelling boo-boos. Yes, I'm one of "those" people who for some reason always notices these things, don't hate me, I can't help it, it's a curse!!! It doesn't seem to stop me from making mistakes every ten seconds though, what's up with that???
I would love a "wish list" area on the site, any chance of adding one?

a few quick fixes...

"Mulletein" / Mullein
"Lobieala" / Lobelia
the 510 atomizer color option shows stainless steel "with blue LED"
on the unflavored juice page it says "DYI" instead of DIY
