I received my Janty eGo 5 days ago. Having long been a fan of the Janty products I always have high expectations when purchasing from this company. Thus far I have not been disappointed.

First, while I knew the device was on the small side, I was nonetheless surprised by its compact size. It is only ¼ inch longer than my Janty Stick. There is also a pleasantly solid feel to the device. It has much more “density” and heft than is seen in other 510 models.

The battery itself is a little larger in diameter than a standard 801 atomizer and is rated at 600maH. Unlike other exaggerated maH claims, the 600mah rating seems to be a true rating. More to come on that.

Each battery (2 included) has a clear button integrated into the battery that illuminates white when depressed. The button rises slightly above the level of the battery and has a surprisingly solid feel. While not difficult to depress, it does require enough effort to depress that “accidental” activations should be very rare or nonexistent.

The eGo uses a standard 510 atomizer (1 included). The atomizer screws directly to the battery as you would expect. A unique feature on this device is a metal sleeve that slides over the cart/atty combo and screws to the battery as well. While the sleeve makes the eGo look sleek and attractive, it also serves as an “insulator” for the atomizer which allows it to heat up to a slightly higher temperature which translates to a warmer more flavorful vapor.

The batteries are charged via the included USB charger that also includes a wall adapter, the charger is proprietary and the batteries can only be charged with this charger. To charge at fully depleted battery take approximately 60 minutes either via USB or wall outlet.

The eGo also has a flat end so you can stand it upright. No more worries about the cig rolling off the table.

Now we come to the part that makes the eGo truly worth every penny. Battery life. I am a heavy vaper. I average probably one draw every 1-3 minutes. My initial charge for each battery lasted 6.5 and 7 hours. Since the initial charge, however, the batteries have lasted me a minimum of 8.5 and a long of 10 hours. This is truly impressive performance from such a compact design. The batteries suffer zero performance degradation while they are in use. We are all familiar with the signs a battery is losing power. Reduced vapor and heat production of the atty. The last draw on the battery was just as good as the first. When the battery is depleted, it just blinks 3 times and stops working. So when I say 8-10 hours, it is 8-10 hours of top quality performance.

If the unit continues to perform at this same level, you can expect to see my 8 Janty Sticks up for sale in the classified very soon. For those of you that are familiar with me that should tell you all you need to know.

8 janty sticks is to many for one person. You should forward one of those over to me at the new member price. I have been considering getting one but the price is a bit much.

Keep an eye out in the classifieds.......You might be able to ge tone cheap in the next 2 weeks or so;)

I like the 510, warmer vapor, better(?) flavor I guess, but the reason I don't switch to that atomizer is the cart life. The 801 with about 8 drops lasts me a half hour or so (I obviously don't vape as much as you do) and that's about as frequently as I want to deal with the juice. Maybe Mik's new design for the cart will fix that? Hope so.

...and theres those megacarts coming from tw too. but maybe its just the same.

i find it rather funny that tw never said whats mega in those coming carts and atomizers.

I don't think cart size matters. Even when my 510 cart "dries out" there is juice left in the cart. Making the cart longer would not solve that issue.

Mik's telsa filter may be our only hope............

Just to add to this:

The hardware is impeccable, a really solid PV. I dropped mine into the toilet on NYE (go go whiskey shots/ + trying to sing lady gaga with pv in mouth while taking a whiz) and it worked just fine after a good sanitation! Also, the throat hit and taste of this unit is fantastic. The warm vapor really releases the flavor of the juice you are using (for good or bad depending on juice) and the amount of vapor produced is amazing- even on a short 2 second pull.

I traditionally use 801's due to their higher vapor production and throat hit but this unit is fantastic. My only complaint is that the carts "dry" out pretty quickly so I'm refilling every 15 mins or so (I vape pretty heavily).

I think I can probably shelve all my other PV's; the battery life, vapor production, throat hit, durability and design far surpass anythink that is on the market now.

It's always struck me when citing a devices battery performance that the amount of liquid used per charge is a more universal metric. User variables such as number of draws, length of button press etc. are so unique that distinguishing the differences between one persons 8 hrs and an others' is bound to be problematic.

As example, regardless of the other variables, using a 510 @3.7v on my AdapteveR, 16340 batts, a new battery will generally last me 1.5ml of liquid. That charge could be 4 hours or 20, but the amount of liquid used is pretty constant.

Yes, I'm that .... that I do consider such things! :D

Any idea how much liquid you used on that 8-10 hour charge?
Interesting device for sure!

well, i took a timeline for the different battery runs, at one point i filled 4ml in my blunt syringe for filling, maybe this helps a bit.

1. 10:50 - 18:00
2. 18:00 - 1:16
3. 11:00 - 21:00 starting 4mlsysringe ~2 von 4ml liquid used up
4. 21:00 - 01:00 10:36 - 12:00 battery not quiet full ?
5. 12:00 - 22:48 4ml syringe empty
6. 22:48 - 3:00 11:50 - 14:00
7. 14:00 - >22:38
8. 22:38 - 00:52 8:25 - 9:00 12:00 - 16:49
9. 16:50 -

too bad that on the importance timeframe one of the batteries was not fully charged i think.
or i really vaped haevy during this time.

soory, it's just my personal battery duration diary with the eGo

let me see if i can sum it up. counting how long each battery lasted:

1. 10:50 - 18:00 7h10 minutes
2. 18:00 - 1:16 7h16 minutes
3. 11:00 - 21:00 10h starting 4ml count, 2ml used up
4. 21:00 - 01:00 10:36 - 12:00 battery not quiet full ? 5h24 minutes
5. 12:00 - 22:48 10h48 minutes the 4ml syringe is empty after 26h 12 minutes awake and vaping
6. 22:48 - 3:00 11:50 - 14:00
7. 14:00 - 22:38
8. 22:38 - 00:52 8:25 - 9:00 12:00 - 16:49
9. 16:50 -

if i count correct i used up ~2ml per 10h per battery if i can trust the marks on that syringe.

seems i have to measure it with more precision next time.

Ok, so now, perhaps, a tough question.....

Given the choice of a first and one time purchase; Janty Stick or eGo?

I own both. The Janty Stick was far and away my preferred device. For the last 4 + months I have used nothing else(I own 8 of them). If my first week with the eGo is any indication, you will be seeing my JS's up for sale very soon.

OTD---I have not track my exact amount of juice used, but I can say without a doubt that I am using more of it. If I had to guess I would say about 25-35% more..........

I was certainly curious as to how well the battery on the eGo would perform. One of my initial thoughts when the eGo was first debuted was FAIL. That thought was prompted by the price and proprietary batteries vs a device that uses off the shelf batteries.

Sounds good from the gate! Thanks.
Will be interested to know how long the batteries service life turns out to be.

With all that said, I've no need of additional PV's but this one has caught my attention.

Darn it! :)
