I received my Janty eGo 5 days ago. Having long been a fan of the Janty products I always have high expectations when purchasing from this company. Thus far I have not been disappointed.
First, while I knew the device was on the small side, I was nonetheless surprised by its compact size. It is only ¼ inch longer than my Janty Stick. There is also a pleasantly solid feel to the device. It has much more “density” and heft than is seen in other 510 models.
The battery itself is a little larger in diameter than a standard 801 atomizer and is rated at 600maH. Unlike other exaggerated maH claims, the 600mah rating seems to be a true rating. More to come on that.
Each battery (2 included) has a clear button integrated into the battery that illuminates white when depressed. The button rises slightly above the level of the battery and has a surprisingly solid feel. While not difficult to depress, it does require enough effort to depress that “accidental” activations should be very rare or nonexistent.
The eGo uses a standard 510 atomizer (1 included). The atomizer screws directly to the battery as you would expect. A unique feature on this device is a metal sleeve that slides over the cart/atty combo and screws to the battery as well. While the sleeve makes the eGo look sleek and attractive, it also serves as an “insulator” for the atomizer which allows it to heat up to a slightly higher temperature which translates to a warmer more flavorful vapor.
The batteries are charged via the included USB charger that also includes a wall adapter, the charger is proprietary and the batteries can only be charged with this charger. To charge at fully depleted battery take approximately 60 minutes either via USB or wall outlet.
The eGo also has a flat end so you can stand it upright. No more worries about the cig rolling off the table.
Now we come to the part that makes the eGo truly worth every penny. Battery life. I am a heavy vaper. I average probably one draw every 1-3 minutes. My initial charge for each battery lasted 6.5 and 7 hours. Since the initial charge, however, the batteries have lasted me a minimum of 8.5 and a long of 10 hours. This is truly impressive performance from such a compact design. The batteries suffer zero performance degradation while they are in use. We are all familiar with the signs a battery is losing power. Reduced vapor and heat production of the atty. The last draw on the battery was just as good as the first. When the battery is depleted, it just blinks 3 times and stops working. So when I say 8-10 hours, it is 8-10 hours of top quality performance.
If the unit continues to perform at this same level, you can expect to see my 8 Janty Sticks up for sale in the classified very soon. For those of you that are familiar with me that should tell you all you need to know.
