Just an update - I am waiting on a bunch of liquid to come in - looking like it will be Tuesday with the long weekend. I'm flatlined at 20 analogs per day (or less) which probably sounds bad but given I'm 5 full weeks in and I'd been smoking 50 on average before, I'll take that as a win.

At the 12 or less mark, I have NO symptoms of analog. Breathing is tremendously better. I have allergy-induced asthma and it's allergy season right now. Over 12, I am seeing some issues. But at 20 even, it's much better than it was at 50. I have NOT needed to use an inhaler since starting on e-cigs. That is a huge win. (Ecigs are costing me less than inhalers were so far!)

At the 18+ analog mark, I can fully function. No lightheadedness or concentration issues.

Unfortunately, I have come to accept that the process for me will be slower than for other people. I run a large company and with the economy in the ....hole as it is, I can't have a brain fog. (FYI - I've quit smoking and all nicotine for 6+ months 2x and the brain fog did not go away)

That said, every day IS getting better for me. I can't imagine now ever going back to 50 analogs a day. I had a couple days where I went over 20 and that was hell (they were 24+ hour work days with crises). I'm not giving up by any means on getting off them and I'm not trying to rationalize anything. Honestly, every analog I light now disgusts me. I will get there one day at a time.

Honestly Sharon I don't know how you ever smoked 50 cig's in a day. That would be a cigarette in your mouth always until you go to sleep at night. Have you heard of WTA (Whole Tobacco Alkaloid) juice before. I've never tried it personally, but 2/3 of vapors seem to think it works. There is a place called Aroma juice that sells it with maybe 1 or 2 others. Aroma is best known for this. Please do some research on it and maybe give it a try. In simple terms it gives you more of an after cigarette feeling than ejuice with just nicotine.

Good to hear you're feeling better and see you cutting down 30 smokes a day as a win so far. All the best.

Sure - easy enough... I have no restrictions on my life on where/when I can smoke. Most of them are lit and sit there. All together, 25 mg a day which is about 14-15 regular Camels or a pack of Marlboro.

I'm in Canada so WTA won't likely be an option. I've already dealt with having one US order seized and given I have a business with deal with lots of urgent imports, it makes me a little nervous trying it again. I've contacted several Canadian vendors and was told they don't foresee having WTA juice.

Thanks!

My daughter (36 years old) smoked 3 packs every day... that's 60 analogs per day...
she tried several times to quit and she would cry and just loose it so bad even I would tell her to go smoke....

About 3 months ago she decided no more... she went 100% vapor ....she is ALWAYS hitting on her e-cig..
but it's working..... BTW, she now prefers the e-cig.

Just remember smoking is a head game.... and it IS a game you can win :)

good luck!!!

I agree; this one's going to take time. Maybe it's just an issue of tolerance. Hopefully, you'll begin to hate the analogs enough to drop them completely.

Did you know; tobacco actually contains a broncho-dilator, that helps one breathe better? I have had a small bout of asthma, and analogs actually helped  Obviously, that doesn't apply to you.

Keep at it, and keep us posted!

Funny that you mentioned that I had always noticed that when I had bronchitis it always helped me hack up(sorry that sounds gross)

Sharon,
You can do it! It sounds like a good start so far. I haven't read through this whole thread and I'm sure some points were already mentioned.
I was a 30 analog per day smoker on a light day for about 25yrs. A weekend night, drinking with friends could've easily been 60 analogs. Whatever the number, it comes down to a choice you make to light up or not. Fewer analogs is better for sure, but it's really no success until you get off of them totally.
I didn't gain confidence in e-cigs until I got more and more powerful devices/mods. Whatever I purchased I would usually get two just in case something happened to one of them, or with battery devices like eGo, etc, I got 4 of them at a time. Once I committed never to go back to analogs I wanted to be sure I had everything I needed and never allowed myself to get close to running out of juices, batteries, cartos and such. It was a matter of eliminating any excuse I could have to buy a pack of smokes.
It worked for me and it can definitely work for you too. Anything that anyone could possibly come up with to justify lighting up again is only an invalid excuse. You do not "have to". Heck, we all know it's hard. If you are like a lot of us here, you can end up loving vaping more and not even miss analogs eventually.
Once you get there, you will shake your head in disbelief when you realize how bad you, your car, house and clothes used to stink. It's kind of embarrassing. No offense intended. That used to be me too.
So, whether you choose to light up is nothing but a choice.
Good luck and happy, healthy vaping!
