2. 9/10- I missed the meet for coffee, my bad. Real world stuff... nothing bad.

Christmas: don't believe in it, but I acquiesce to those that do. Each year it seems more and more like a marketing gimmick. Any day is a good day to give, that's how I role. Sure, I'll shop ahead of time, but I'll also give presents ahead of time. Children are a different matter, they have certain expectations. Some family members are only seen close to the holiday itself, and those gifts have to wait until that time. I don't mean to come off as bitter, I love all the lights...

Ekowool: If it's your first time to try it, just get a couple of feet of 2 and 3mm off Fleabay. It should be around $2 per foot with shipping. If you want a whole lot (10+ meters), I can PM you a good place for it. Personally, I tie off the ends with wire (to prevent fraying) and boil for 10-15 minutes (I do this with all types of wick), and torch the poo out of it before cutting or using. Boiling is probably not necessary, but it seems to reduce the "breaking in" period and a couple of vendors recommend boiling. It wasn't made for our purposes, who knows what residues are on it. For use as a SS mesh wick cover, I stick a cleaned drill bit just larger than the SS wick in the hollow center of the Ekowool before torching so it will hold that shape. It also frays much less if torched before cutting, as RPAD mentioned. It's great for some things, but even cotton can be better depending on where it is used. YMMV...

1) Sometimes I don't get the NFL. Super Bowl XLVIII is in New Jersey. For the halftime act, the NFL signed...the dude from Hawaii with the goofy hats. I love me some Bruno Mars music, but wouldn't Bruce Springsteen or Bon Jovi have made much more sense for a Super Bowl in New Jersey?!?

#2 (9/10) Bruce has already done SB half time , but Bon Jovi would have been awesome, they could have also done a "Best of Jersey" concept with folks like Bon Jovi, Bruce, Southside Johnny, Frankie Valli, Gaslight Anthem amongst others.

Thanks S!
I think Ill pick up a couple feet and try it out. I just got 6 ft of silica, and its working great, but i like the way the ekowoll can be shaped. I also need kanthal wire, Boardo sent me a good site for it but i havent pulled the trigger just yet. perhaps tonight or tomorrow.
I also plan on picking up another rda or two from FT. i have been checking out the nimbus clone (with 4 airholes!) and am all ears for another one. (if you have any recommendations). The igo-l, which i have been using for the last week is working great, and i wish to emulate and improve upon its performance with a couple new ones.
what size wire are you using to get a dual coil to 1ohm?
3- Love the books, movie was awesome after reading the book, before it makes no sense and I sort of like that about it now. Have you ever watched the TV series?

never saw the series or read the books. i know, not much of diehard fan, but i do LOVE the movie and watched it again last night!

#3.

so i have a question about rebuildables. i am looking to get into them but i am extremely broke. i do have an evercool vv box i finally got working right last week, and would like to try my hand at something a little more fun than recoiling a bottom coil clearo, or my drunker tank.

any suggestions on an absolute lowest price point rebuildable tank? i like the genesis style in the appearance, and from the pictures i've seen the ithaka, and the oddy clones i've seen (assuming the originals as well) are the same as my bottom coil clearos as far as coils and wicks go. just looking for something different, but dont want to break the bank.

all that being said, anyone have a sub 20$ hybrid kit they want to sell me batteries and charger included ( unless it's 14500, i do have 2 of those :) )

4: I feel sorry for those with birthdays near Christmas. My parents always made sure all kids received the same amount of stuff on Christmas so no one was left out. Even the very same items, but I would be told "This one is for your birthday." What?!? my sisters got the same thing for Christmas and will get something for their birthday. I have made sure to never do this to my children.

#4 (9/10) I believe he said something to the effect of "I would do it again anytime they asked" after the first time. I have no doubt he would do a phenomenal job, although it does take some pressure off the party when you know you can do something else when the halftime act isn't someone you're interested in seeing LOL. They year Bruce played halftime I think the sound from the four TV's and surround sound systems we had going at our SB party were heard in the next county. :toast:

3. 9/10- @levisdaddy- I used Two 2" pieces of 32 gauge (~2 ohms a piece) for a 1ohm dual coil. According to the charts, the full length of each should have made it 1.15 ohms, but a tiny little bit goes past the post screws. There are charts for all the resistances, but they are strictly referring to full length. Once a mm or so passes the attachment screw on each end, as well as under the screw itself, a bit of length/resistance is lost. Bookmark this link for future reference, a link to "Ohms Per Inch Table" is on the top left. PV Web Apps

@wtfbob- a hybrid kit with batteries and charger for under $20? :?:
