Weird Flavor

Ok so I wanted to try one of my new flavors today in my kanger evod. I washed the tank out with warm water and dried it very good. Now i put the juice into the tank and when I went to smoke it it tasted AWFUL, like burning plastic, I changed the coil and it still tasted like that, I EVEN WIPED THE BATTERY OFF AND IT STILL TASTES LIKE THAT HELPPPP PLEASE

To get all the old flavor out of a tank I use 50% Isoprophyl Alcohol, shake vigorously and then rinse with water. I've been told the alcohol helps remove any residue. So far has worked for me.

Describe the taste? Is it got an alcohol/perfume taste to it?

I dont recommend using isopropyl alcohol - but PGA (Pure Grain Alcohol) is great to soak overnight if there is a flavor you are having issues removing from a tank. A semi-small group of folks use the IA but it can ruin the finish on your tanks and if you do not remove it thoroughly its pretty toxic. In general, hot water usually does the trick.

However, I am unclear if you are saying the juice is gross or if you are getting burnt hits? What is the juice and what is the atty?

I agree about the juice. If acidic it could be reacting with the tank.

Ok im using the kanger evod tank with a 1.8 ohm coil, the juice is called "moo juice" from mt baker vapor. Its not that burnt taste persay its just more like a plastic type taste. IDK how to necasarilly describe it juice is 50/50 24mg nicotine

Do you have a vv/vw battery? If so try lowering the volts or watts to the minimum and see if continues.

It may be that the flavor needs to age a little if it is brand new, or you may not like the flavor. To confirm it is not your evod or a coil - rinse in hot water and dry, fill with a flavor you know you like and give it a test drive.

Sounds like that flavor should live somewhere dark for a few weeks and then be revisited

Yea I have a VW battery eGO-C Twist and i did that and still horrible taste, i lowered it all the way to 3.3 and usually when i do that on most of the juices i have vaped i get NO smoke but this one i get tons still

Thats what I thought to but being currently deployed this flavor has lived somewere dark for most of its life. The MFG date on the bottle is 01/17/14 and i just got it 2/1/14 so idk.

I guess ill let it steep a few more weeks even though its been in a darn envelope for like 16 days, i also have a new tank on the way maybe its the tank im currently using

Cant hurt to let it age longer. A lot of folks that use MBV say it does need a long steep time. It may just be that that flavor isnt for you. *shrug*

I had the same issue with the EVOD clearos. I bought a bunch of them and opened one, tried everything to get that plastic taste out of it and couldn't. With other plastic clearos, I never tasted the plastic so I thought these would be fine too. I ended up selling the ones I never opened here in the classies.

I'm new and my taste buds aren't working good yet. After reading the "plastic taste" comments, maybe that's a good thing, lol. I have several plastic clearomizers but don't taste the plastic.

Mt Baker makes their juice to order so CreepyLady is spot on with her advice. Let it age a week or two and try it again.

Weird. I enjoyed EVOD tanks when I used them. Did you try a new coil head with the same results. I was never a fan of mbv though, they are where I started and I've learned that most of the time quality goes hand in hand with price. Most of the time.

I too tried MB "fluids" - in Kanger T3S tanks - same composition as an EVOD without the stainless outer ribs and a tad larger I believe and compared the MB to my local shoppe so I had an idea about their juice. I 'strongly disliked' the 'juice' and promptly renamed the particular tobacco flavor, "Burning Inner-Tube In An Oil-Can". To ME it's an opinion formed by MY taste-buddies - exactly the same way those who love it do. I let it sit - open - airing out - seeping - ridding the fluid of the aroma I found 'nasty' for three weeks - it did no good. Again - for ME.

Pull the MB Police back - it's as honest an opinion as I can give. Price - OK. Satisfaction - Nope. It's probably, "just the old guy" - he can't appreciate whatever the 'lovers' see in that particular 'juice'. Now ........ I simply stick with that which I like and make every 'review' very clear; it's just an 'opinion' and let it go at that - good or bad.

I KNOW every juice vendor cannot possibly receive ONLY great reviews; they just publish the positive and dump the critical ones. In my opinion - of course.

If someone got upset over someone not liking a certain vendor that's just crazy. Everybody has their own taste and opinion of juices. I thought their tea flavor was pretty good, but I never found another flavor that didn't taste like chemicals to me. Key word being me. Killer juices taste spot on to their description, even if I didn't like that flavor, but someone else might think they taste like chemicals.

G2 Drunk Monkey has been the smoothest juice I've tried. Still trying to get my hands on some Alice in Vapeland.
