Hi. Quick question. I have been vaping for a few months, and I use a few different flavors of e-juice. I have a separate tank for each flavor. My favorite was a Caramel Mocha juice, 24mg. It's from a local vape store, 50/50 pg vg mix. It had just kind of a light, nutty taste that I really liked, but after about 2 weeks, it's started to taste strange. It doesn't taste burnt, or... I don't know, "moldy" or anything... but it does have this weird plasticky flavor that it did not have initially. The bottle is relatively new. I put this juice in a different tank, just to make sure the tank hadn't done something funky, and same thing. Is it possible for it to have gone off this quickly? I have several other flavors from this same company- some of which are older than the caramel mocha, and they are all fine. What the heck? Any ideas? It's a 30ml bottle, so I hate to waste it, but it's pretty nasty. Thanks in advance!

Also, IMHO you were vaping something sweet and nutty, go to the other side of the spectrum and try something more acidic and fruity. Seems to help some. You may just have to ride it out. Vapors tongue last for a few days up to about a week, there are about a thousand opinions as to how to end it quickly, I can't vouch for any since I have been lucky and not had it. Good luck

Sounds like vapors tongue. After awhile if you use the same flavor all the time it starts tasting gross. Try switching the flavor with something totally different for a few days then go back to that flavor. Also are you drinking lots of water?

Hmm.. I don't *think* that's the problem, because I do switch flavors back and forth pretty often. Also, my husband doesn't use the caramel mocha flavor, but he tried it when I mentioned it and agreed that it tasted plasticky to him too. So I dunno! I don't drink as much water as I should though- I try, but I drink more diet coke than anything, lol! I didn't know drinking water made a difference regarding vaping, actually. Thanks!

I have not had this issue since I started using glass Protanks. I don't think I have ever had vapors tongue that everyone talks about but maybe it is because I use such a variety of flavors everyday. Thank you for posting this question because I am sure it will help you and others. Good luck. Oh and welcome to the forum. You will find it a wonderful place just full of wonderful people. :)

Vaping actually pulls some moisture from your body to help create the vapor that is released. As this happens, we need to hydrate a bit more than we normally do. Caffeinated drinks do help some, but not a lot. In a perfect world, water is the best choice to hydrate with.

When our bodies are dehydrated, that can affect how we taste things.

Thanks for the info, everyone! I'm not sure anything mentioned is the actual problem with this particular bottle... But it was informative. I may invest in a glass tank, but I'm not sold on the idea just yet because it seems so much easier to just spend $4 and get a new plastic one each time I get a new flavor of juice. I'll definitely do some research on the glass ones though!

Since every other bottle I've gotten from this same manufacturer is fine and hasn't "gone plastic" thinking maybe the caramel mocha was just an anomaly. The liquid itself is not overly dark, it's a pale, very translucent tan color, so I don't think it's burning anything, as someone suggested. Hmm. Oh well, no big deal, I was just concerned if this was something that happens often and it sounds like it isn't.

I'm gonna go grab some water and vape some pina colada for a bit, lol. Thanks everyone!
