Weird problelm

Ok why would a cartomizer (808 whistle tip) work on one battery and not the other. Both same batteries, both charged. Put it (the carto) on a completely different battery and it worked fine. It's just this one battery. Tried a different carto on this battery and it worked fine. Thats weird.

I had that scenario last night with my standard 808 cart and batterie(s). I cleaned the threads and post of both cart & batt then things were working fine again. But oddly, the cart worked on one batt and not another. Didnt make much sense to me but thought someone else might have some insight.

Take a paper clip and bend it out straight. Use this to GENTLY and i do mean ultra gently, barely pry up on the battery post. Millimeters count a lot in the vaping world. The battery contact may not be making contact with the carto. You could also try prying up the carto post as well and maybe you should try that first since that is the lesser expensive of the two pieces of equipment.

have you pulled up on the center post? Sometimes they can get pushed in a little. Flip over the carto and you will see a center post with an airhole in the middle. With a thin screwdriver or similar piece of metal, pry it up a fraction of an inch. Just the slightest wiggle will do.

SnowDragon is a poster on here (can be found in the Vapor for Life forum). He makes excellent helpful videos for everything kr808.

Bwilly, yes it does work and you will face that problem quite a bit. Usually you can just work on the carto without touching the battery. I stopped using the 808 system, but if you go to youtube I think SnowDragon has a video for almost every problem you might face. He has his own channel on there. The cleaning and maintenance one is also very good. He's got some on proper filling technique's and so on. Glad it worked for you.

Another tip: if you are pretty clumsy with the post pulling (you can stop s......ing now- I have bad eyes and can't see the base of the carto), some 510/510 connectors have screws that enable you to raise or lower the connection easily.

sometimes it's enough to bang the carto on a hard surface. Not as guaranteed though but it works sometimes.
