I've had my MVP2 for a little over a month now, and it's been doing great. Until last night. Switched from a mini protank 2 to a Vision Vtox tank, and the MVP wouldn't read it, instead saying "non". I figured it was no big deal, I've dealt with that before, so I grabbed my little screwdriver and pulled the center pin up. Still reads "non". My other vtox tank reads just fine, as do my protanks. I plug on my iclear tanks, and it reads "0.0". I put my ego to 510 adapter onto my coolfire 2, and it fires the protanks, but with an extremely tight draw (my protanks have one of the air holes drilled out for better airflow), but also won't fire the vtox. It will fire one iclear tank but not the other. Move over to my old Ego battery, nothing but the protanks fires. Move over to my nemesis, the vtox tanks fire, and th eprotanks fire. Vtox is very tight, but protanks fire normal. I haven't tried the iclears on the nemesis yet. Anybody have any ideas?

If your tanks read "non" or 0.0 after fixing the center pin, and only on certain tanks- the tanks are the issue. I wouldnt in general advise trying to fire tanks that read non or 0.0 on other devices on your nemmy - non and 0.0 either mean the coil has fried and dropped to low to fire safely for regulated or has a hard short. You confirmed this with the coolfire as well. Replace heads in the problem tanks and you should be good to go.

The only other small possibility on NON readings is to pull down the center pin on the actual tank in question.

The coils in both iclears and in the iclears and in the problematic vtox are brand new right out of the package.

You wouldn't happen to have a ohms reader would ya? This would enable you to check and see if they are reading at all without worrying with frying your wicks. Creeplady pretty much covered all bases, other causes she covered in her last sentence. I have, thought I did, fix my center pin in my MVP2 and it wasn't enough. I had to do it again before I could get it to read and fire. Do check the pins on your tanks as well. I remember having problems with the iClear 30/s/b's on my MVP2 yet I could get my cartotanks to work. Let us know how things turn out, good or bad.

Another idea as the mvp is problematic with its firing pin is toss your ego-510 adapter on it. I've got a bund of toppers that won't fire on my mvp, but with the adapter everyone works fine. Also you mentioned the coils are new. I have gotten duds right out of the box so being new means it should be good, not that it is. Good luck.

I did try that, it was a no go unfortunately. Bad heads would be an explanation but the odds of 2 brand new heads, from 2 different companies, from 2 different shops, installed on the same night.... Then again it is Friday the 13th...

My MVP works with all my KFL+s but will no longer connect to any other clearomizer I own (T3S, iClear x.1, Kanger aero, etc.). It's usage has unfortunately become very limited to me. The same devices worked just fine when it was new, It appears the rubber washer under the 510 positive pin has degraded and is squished down. I can 'fix' it with a screwdriver but the problem re-appears once you switch to another device.

Buy a couple of circuit board spacers from MadVapes. It should correct the issue. Just push one into the 510 connection.

Another simple way is once the pin is pulled up a bit, take some dental floss and wrap it around and under the post. Tie it off with a surgeon's knot, and vape away. Works for any troublesome 510 connector, I've even used it on tanks with connector problems.
