So i just got my first Riva 3 days ago. I put the battery on the charger and did the whole 8 hr deal as instructed. The light on the charger is always green. Anyhow i go to use it and it dies within 30 minutes. So I try the second battery same deal flashes and dies right away. So this leads me to believe the charger is the issue.

Anyone else ever get a bad charger with these things?

That happened to me once - and I thought it was the charger and it turned out to be the plug in wall usb port - so I would try another usb before exchanging the charger. If you know it is not the usb, and you have a 510 usb changer you can try charging the batteries on it to see if they will charge. You can charge them from a 510 charger but it is a very show process - it will take about 6 hours for one to fully charge on a 510 charger.

Just got mine today and the light is always green. I don't know yet if it has the charging issues like yours yet. I guess we'll find out in a few hours.

Let me clarify that.

I just used up the first battery after 6 hours of non-stop vaping (I wanted to test the battery life) right from the box and put that battery on charge. The light is green and the blue LED flashed when I screwed the battery in. I'm chargeing it from my computer.

From my understanding what I read was use it for 30 mins and put it back on the charger. The other thing I have done is press the button on the battery... this makes all of the charger lights blink... then it starts charging.

Just a shot in the dark on this one. I have had trouble with the Ego bats but my Rivas work perfectly all the time every time.

Good Luck!

The Riva battery flashes a few times when I screw it on but no changes with the green light. I've even pressed the button and held it down, the charger doesn't blink and neither does the battery. One shouldn't have to take it off charge and use for 30 minutes and put back on. It kind of defeats the purpose of leaving it to charge overnight or when you're away from it.

But here's the question: Are the Riva charger lights always supposed to be green? Or do they change colors like the one I have for my njoy?

Well, after an 8 hour charge, the battery died within 2 hours. I guess I'll be contacting Liberty Flights about this.

Update:

I haven't contacted LF yet, but the charger seems to be working with it plugged into the AC wall adapter. The light is red at the moment (as it should be with a dead battery). I guess we'll see what happens in a couple of hours or so.
