I've been using my kfl plus for about a week now, and every time I use it there is always this brown spot that is coming out from inside the chimney.

Heres a pic:

You can see the brown thing in the thread.

Yep. Check your wick. Mine does the same thing when the wick is ready for a change or a dry hit. I check and normally have a singed piece of cotton by the coil. Others may have other reasons it happens to them but when I start getting that funny not normal taste on a pull I get the brown juice poking through the hole and down by the threads.

I've had that happen to me with a relativly clean wick being found upon inspection. What I did find is a coil lead that left the screw at a less than perfect angle. It seems that a thin gap between the wire and the kayfun was burning juice. It never did taste quite right, still this is just a theory. It's all in the details with the Kayfun, this I know.

I get that from time to time with my lighter juices. Nothing to worry about but when I see that I start to think its time to replace the wick. Pretty much it's caramalized ejuice wicking back off the coil into your tank.

exactly.
its the sign of a less than perfect build, old wick, gunked coil, or any combination of those.
it happens also because of the way a kayfun works. you draw juice up the channels as you vape. not all of this juice gets vaporized. some of it just gets heated and changes its chemical makeup a tad. this juice then runs back into the tank, discoloring the remaining juice. another theory is that depending on the heat of your coil, you could be heating the juice that surrounds the outside of the chimney.

I'm having this issue as well. I can't taste any difference but do notice the brown in the liquid. I do also notice a bit of my coil lead sticking out from the screw. I'll trim it today and see how she goes.
