I'm not one to discourage vaping, but there is a time and a place for it. Right now there are a lot of government entities trying to put bans, fines, and taxes on ecigs and juice. (Mainly because they're feeling the financial hit from us not paying outrageous taxes on cigarettes anymore) so I promote discretion while vaping. Because the eyes are on us right now, waiting for the wrong people to get ....... Keep in mind, I'm a cloud chaser so it's not easy for me to "stealth vape", but I usually wait until I am in my vehicle, home, or a designated smoking area.

I don't vape indoors any where. I did once at Walmart when I first quit smoking and started vaping and a few people looked at me funny and a lady got very upset even tho you can tell it was not a cigarette, but I apologized anyways and politely explained to her that it was not a cigarette and I was trying to quit smoking and that I had a really bad craving and was just taking a small hit to keep it under control till I got outside. Ever since then I've never vaped inside a public place specially now with the set up I have it produces a much larger cloud. Also like TimPetty said there are allot of people trying to ban vaping and we should keep it mind so it don't happen...

It depends on where you go. I spent my first year of college at a University in Denver and I never saw anyone vaping, ever, especially not inside. Now I transferred into an engineering school in Golden and I see it everywhere, including during class. Be it that I'm amongst technical people who understand the lesser risks of vaping and 'second hand vapor,' I'm not sure. It's definitely weird to see someone blow out some vapor in class though (not big clouds).

I admit to stealth vaping indoors sometimes, always make sure no one is very close though.

I had to stay in the hospital awhile last year and I admit, I did some stealth vaping in the bathroom of my room. I actually stood in the shower stall (without the water of course) I'd take a couple of hits, then I would be done. Made sure no oxygen tanks or any thing like that was near. It actually made the bathroom smell pleasent. Please don't judge. I was in the hospital for a week. You might have done the same :)

When I walked into my first vape shop (ever) three weeks ago, as a smoker for 35 years, I felt uncomfortable. I wasn't uncomfortable because people were vaping. They seemed happy with it and I had gone there because I knew it would help me stop smoking. What made me uncomfortable was the fleeting thought "you can't DO THIS HERE! There's no smoking allowed". And that, I hasten to repeat, was as a committed smoker.

I can only imagine what non-smokers must think when they see someone vaping in a place where smoking is prohibited.

I hope people begin to understand the impact vaping has on others and refrain from doing it in public places where smoking is prohibited or where people don't understand how vaping differs from smoking. I want to keep vaping and refrain from smoking! The only way we can accomplish that is by being respectful of others who have a psychological aversion to a cloud of "smoke" appearing, even if it is just vapour.

I know my non-smoking husband still responds negatively to it on the rare occasion - until he remembers it's vapour and I'm not "smoking" inside :)

No, no, a thousand times NO!

Other peoples' psychological problems are not my responsibility to cater to. If I'm not doing anything to harm them (actual, physical harm), then it's their problem, not mine. I won't blow big clouds in someone's face, but I take issue with "the sight of that disturbs me, so you shouldn't do it"

I will NOT live my life based on someone else's feels

No Steve

Folks catering to everybody's feels help pass anti(whatever) legislation

If someone were to approach me (let's say at Walmart) and ask me not to vape in the store, I would be fine with that. Since nobody has, I go ahead: I just don't blow big clouds, or exhale into someone's line of travel (or don't get into peoples' faces, as a general rule).

But I will never change how I live my life, based only on how someone may feel about something, hoping to not offend them. That's the modern danegeld, which I flat refuse to pay. If more people took that attitude, we might actually BE free

Last summer, when I started vaping, e cigarettes were described as 'fake cigarettes' and most everybody, everywhere was very tolerant..even on occasion commented at how pleasant the smell was or they were happy for you that you had quit smoking. Security said I could use one in the airport, my sister was fine with using on a long drive in her car and my 80 yr old Mum even had a pull for a laugh.

Since then, with all the negative propaganda on TV and the press, the tide has changed and folks fear the dreaded 'vapor pens'

Let's just call them 'Fake Cigarettes', it sounds so harmless:(
