You know, meems . . . "dating" . . . as in "carbon dating". . . . 8-o

Ouch.... meeems... you were just pwn'd...

I got it... carbon dating is used to tell how old something is...

Personally, I think I'll get under something and hide since I don't want to get in the crossfire...

Hey don't throw out those oranges yet... you still can't make an orange reduction sauce for chicken, salmon or pork out of eliquid... Not to mention, orange marmalade or perhaps a crepes suzette and I'm sure there are many more...

Randy

So, you're coming to my house to make dinner when?? :)

we still eat 'em and squeeze the juice out of 'em along with the grapefruit and we have made marmalade  ... we'd give 'em away but the neighbors have plenty of their own ... it's still snowbird season here and "Free Oranges" usually makes 'em hit the brakes ... I'll pass your suggestions along to the wife

 I'm soorry.... :D

LOL

I suppose it can't hurt to actually post something that is "on-topic" as an update...

While I'm certain that Eleanor is correct in all things steep...

I still needed to see how the Menthol is developing ( in a carto without Dark Chocolate Mint being accidentally mixed in... lol ).... It's now been a week steeping ( for it and the 3 others, though I think they are ready really )...

The flavor that I mentioned that sort of reminded me of a cheap cigar ( sorry Byran, its the only way I can think of to explain it ) has really receaded in intensity, while it is still ( slightly ) present it is now really starting to enhance the other flavors instead of "stomping" on them and being so overpowering.

On the menthol side... at first I could only barely notice it and now it is quite present almost perfect in strength. Originally I was thinking that I should ask Bryan to either put 50% more or even double the menthol... I no longer think so.

In only a week... the flavor of this eliquid has gone from "I'm not sure I'm going to like it very much of the time" to one that is actually very likely to remain in my rotation... In fact, I'm now really looking to see what the French Pipe and tabac de Perique are going to bring to the table after they have had a good steep.

I do have a social concern about this one... the smell. This one tastes like tobacco unlike any other eliquid I've had and taste and smell are so tied together... I just hope it isn't a smell that others would find offensive. I know I can't judge that part.

Thin latex gloves!, you know, the kind you use to dye your hair with?, well, them's is the bomb for mixing juices, and filling tanks and pouring and stuffem's. I'm so glad I thought of that. Had to share!.

I started developing a slight rash on my cheeks, and i'm pretty sure its because of my playing with my 'chemistry 101 Highbrow kit'. touching my face after screwing around with the juices. i'll let you know if it clears up now.
Either way, i am liking using the glove'ems.

Nitey!

I haven't tried Cigar, but have both Exotic and Perique. I too notice a similarity in taste, but find Perique to be drier and more subdued. I really will have to try it with a bit of vanilla. Exotic is my favorite of the two. While I like Exotic steeped, I liked it even better right out of the box. There was a flavor there that disappeared after it steeped. Maybe I'm just weird.....

I don't think there is anything weird about that at all... as the saying goes... that is why they make chocolate, vanilla and strawberry... everyone has different tastes, likes and dislikes.

Yes I def agree JP, Highbrows vannilas are legendary in my book, I always make sure I have them, they come in handy for all sorts of things, but are also so great to just stand on their own. :)

Now then since Bryan opened the topic of flavor concentrates I am going to jump all over that! Mostly because I have tried them ;), just today I added a few drops to a couple of liquids that needed a boost and I have to tell u they were "fan flippin tastic"!!!:)
Now all of them were fruit, but they were all so crisp and clean and naturally sweet, if he were to send me a flavor booster of the vanilla bourbon bean I would guard it like the lil bottle of liquid gold it is.:) I am going to go out on a limb here and ask if they are alcohol or pg based? Can u, would u tell us?

I would especially buy if he put out a sweetener, I don't know what he uses, but it's very good and I love the way it lingers, I don't know if that is a sweetener or if that is from the fruit??

This post may not make sense, since it was replying to posts a couple pages back, I meant to post this yesterday, but ecf locked up on me, but saved it and it showed up today, so I thought I would go ahead and try to finish it.

I will try to read the newer pages and catch up after bit, gotta run and get my lil darlin from preschool, bye all! :)

No comment. :p:D

rdsok (Ein-sok :D), I'm really glad your juices are improving to your liking. :) It's entirely possible that, for YOU, they are ready right now at 3 weeks. Very few people have to steep as long as I do!

Thats what happened with me too, but the opposite. I didnt like exotic out of the box, but after it steeped, it was way better.
