So I just received my order today from Aqua Vapor, we had ordered an extra 510 battery each and 3 XXXL low resistance cartomizers each. Being fairly new to this, as in less than a month into it, I didn't know at the time of ordering that these cartos wouldn't work with our 510 pen-styles because they don't have enough battery power (at least that's what I understand from my research). I ordered them because we were sick of refilling all the darn time and we vape pretty heavily (the we is me and my BF) so we figured why not try these! I also, mainly, ordered them because they are under the page on Aqua's site for "510 ONE cartomizers" and so I just ASSumed they would work for the 510s (of course, should have looked into it instead of taking that at face value)!

Here's the page for 510 ONE (what we have) cartomizers: 510 ONE Cartomizer
And here is the listing for them: 510 XXXL Dual Coil SmokeTech LR Cartomizer for 510 and eGo Model eCigs

So now we have extra batteries and no cartomizers! We were so excited that the package came today because we've been using our current cartos for about 3 weeks now and they're long past their prime. I am going to place an order ASAP for some cartos that will actually work for us, but I'm sure it will be at very least a few days for shipping (going to order from Canvape since it'll be fastest, hopefully) it looks like we will be stuck smoking the stinkies.

I think I'm going to go curl into a ball and cry now, whilst rocking back and forth like a mental ward patient. I FEEL SO STUPID!!!

2.5 oHms doesn't seem too low to use on a 510. Problem with using LR cartos on a small battery is that it can ruin the life of the battery. But unless it has a short protection circuit set above 2.5 ohms, it should still fire the carto.

May want to wait on other opinions, though. I myself don't use a 510. Plus, since it's dual coil (parallel circuit), I'm not sure if 2.5 ohms is the total resistance, or just the resistance of one coil. If it's the latter, the effective resistance would be 1.25 ohms... which is probably far too low for a 510.

Did you try one?

Yeah we tried two. I tried one and my BF tried one. We tried on both our auto and manual batts and no luck with either. Less luck with the autos for some reason. Still low on luck either way lol.

Phil, we are unfortunately two of the biggest klutzes on Earth with no knowledge of any tools aside from a hammer and screwdriver :p

Edit: Concat, I didn't even think of that (the dual coil thing)-- I have much to learn. I do wonder if that is the case though.

I would put them in the classies but I don't have enough posts/time on the boards to do so. We'll more than likely just hold onto them until we can upgrade our units.

Batteries are really a consumable item when you think about it and it doesn't hurt to have many extras around to rotate in cycles. We all have a starter kit that got a month or so of use and then we upgraded to gain longer battery life and expandability. You can still use those 510 batteries with lots of atomizers and cartomizers. 2.5 ohm is recommended for the 510 and Boge cartos are a natural for that battery.

Consider your first purchase a backup system. We all need one. Look around while you are vaping and see what you like. you should be able to use the cartos you have. You might not get the ultimate vaping experience from them if the batteries sag in voltage from LR coils, but they will get you by and the batteries won't be damaged.

Look at eGo, Riva, and Kgo for possibilities. You want something with at least 650mah batteries to use LR cartos at their best. I second the 1000mah eGo-T batteries for long life on low resistance.

You're right, we want to upgrade within the next couple of months so long as the BF starts getting more hours at work or finds a new job. We are looking at the mods from Parkes Vaping in particular.

I do wish we could make them work but they just don't. I try every which way to suck on it but nothing really happens. Every 5th or 6th try I will get a small wisp of vapor but other than that it's like sucking air. It almost just feels like the carto itself is too long or something.

Vapeterry, thank you. I won't beat myself up too too much about it, I just can't believe I didn't look into it and just took the word of the website as truth. I will def be sending them and e-mail to correct it so that hopefully nobody else makes the same mistake. They also sent us an auto battery instead of a manual for my Bf's, but they are correcting that and going to send the manual to us, so that's at least a plus that we got a free battery, in essence.

Oh noooooooo!!!! Unfortunately I sent my last two pkgs. of boge SR's to Whitehorse ....

I do have some still sealed fluxomizer clears here from gotvapes just collecting dust..they may be version 1's though, lol....*I* was never able to get them to wick properly. Anyway, there's 1 regular @ 3.0-3.2 and 7 of the XL's @ 2.6-2.8. If you need them, let me know!:2cool:

I am sorry to hear. The carto's that are on the 510 page are for the people who have 510 connectors on all sorts of devices, including variable voltage mods, ego's, tube mod's etc. I understand your frustration, and as a new person, that would really bite ya in the .... for sure. When I started vaping, I always contacted the seller if I had questions on what parts go with what, just to make sure. If you have any old carto's left, you can totally boil them and blow them out, and they should work again.

Thanks for the reply, Dane. I'm not sure that cleaning them out would do anything after 3 weeks of solid use, but we will try that for sure. But the page really is for my model, if you can believe it! If you look on the left side, it says "Ecig accessories by model" and if you hover over "510 ONE" which is what we've got, then click on cartomizers, they are on that page. I would love to say I made a mistake and they didn't have it that way :(

Cactus, I'm sorry about your luck with that d-bag from Whitehorse, he almost roped me in as well. I will PM you and see if we can arrange something again and we can give them a try for sure! You are just too darn kind

Wow, those are some cheap mods... $25 for a 18650 mod? Can't go wrong.

I've been looking at those too -- I like the diamond series!

danes right a good boil and then let them dry good and i bet your old cartos will be almost as good as new , i like to boild em , then blow out the extra water and then i put em on a cookie sheet at a low temp in the oven , a bit of work but if your in need of a quick fix it may help
and when unsure always contact the seller as they can be pretty helpful
