Your Prothingy is perfect because it does have built in protections to prevent firing low ohm coils. If you plan to use your KayFuns on it you will get great results with around 1.5ohm micro coils and boiled organic cotton for wicking.

Watch lots of videos, ask lots of questions and be safe. ;)

Plan on it! :)

You are correct Robin , your Provari and the HHV Army will keep you out of trouble but God help the OP , OP do not go any further unless you have a ohm meter or a multimeter or a regulated mod to keep you out of trouble , You bought an excellent clone but without the equipment or the knowledge to use it you're placing yourself in danger , if and when you get the equipment you can stop by the HHV Army subforum and we'll give you all the assistance you need .

And that's something the OP really should take the suggestion and run with. Great group of knowledge. Drop in here and ask for help: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/hhv-army/374698-lets-talk-hardware.html

You don't need to read the whole thing, just start posting.

I  the Army. :D

The Hcigar clone is a 1:1 clone, so the manual from Svoemesto will work. There is a link to it in this review thread.

I didn't see you mention what device you will be using the 3.1 on. The 3.1 should work well on any APV (I have used it on an evic and a Vamo). You also don't need to use the coil build shown in the manual, you can use whatever build you want to use, just pick one from the abundance of youtube videos that you can find. The biggest issue with the build, is while starting out, it is easy to short. Until you get the hang of building on the 3.1, I recommend that you check the resistance often (after installing any new piece while putting it together), that way, if you do end up shorting it out, you know where the short is occurring and can find a way to keep it from happening.

Hope this helps

thans for all the replies, i have a provari and unfortunately it doesn't have an ohm meter IIRC. i might have to pull out my vamo from the junkbox.

anyway, i'm curious, how do you clean out the kayfun? just boil them all in water for a good 10 mins and let it dry for an hour?

also when switching e-liquid, i'd like to know what that ordeal would be like. normally w/ my protanks, i just take them all apart, rinse in water, and swap in a new atomizer.

The Provari will measure the resistance. Press the button to scroll through the menus until you get to AO. That will show the resistance of the attached atty.

Ao on the Provari is the ohm checker. It tells you what your atomizer is.
