The Iclear30 is the one that really stopped my desire to smoke at all. Ive read the iClear16 is also good ( hard to find locally) and you can use the iClear30 wicks if you cant find the 16s. Some people claim they get even more vapor using the 30 wick in the 16.

Heavy amounts of vapor at first was the deal clincher for me but everyone is different. Throat hit is also a big help if that is what you like. I also started with 30mg and 24mg juice which after just 20 days is now a bit too strong for me. Some flavors seem to help also. Icy Mint helped me immensely and i was not usually a menthol smoker. Slightly sweet tobacco flavors are also very satisfying for me.

Good luck, im in the same boat but i did not quit because of insurance cost. I simply wanted to stop smoking and nothing else has worked. My employer highly encourages quitting. Our rates went WAY up Jan 1st and any smokers in the company will raise all our rates to insane levels. I am the last "quitter". One smoking employee quit the company due to dependent coverage cost and the other quit smoking Jan 1st.

My wife and I actually started talking about quitting a few weeks before we found out about the insurance so it was really just the final push we needed.

Thanks for tips on the tanks!

Can anyone suggest a super cheap clearomizer I can get like 5 or so of in a pack so I can pick and choose an ADV without having to clean a tank every time I want to try something new?

Maybe they do some sort of nicotine testing and a co2 test? All I know is the non-union employees at my facility have to prove there is no nicotine in their system to get the "wellness benefits" which includes the lower monthly insurance premium.

I've got my nicotine addiction pretty under control. I can go hours without vaping if I need to - might even be able to go a day if I put my mind to it. My triggers are when I'm stressed, drinking alcohol or I'm around people smoking. It's comforting to know I can just vape, and not feel the need to bum a stinkie.

All insurance companies are headed this way,,,,,

They're not going to take your word for it,,,,so count on some sort of test. Personally, I wouldn't go the route of stopping for 3 days, testing and going back to vaping nic,,,,,it's insurance fraud to claim you're not using nicotine when you are. It might suck,,,,,,,,but that's the way it is. And if you get caught,,,,,,it won't be pretty.

Getting off nicotine was easier for me than I thought,,,,,and you have plenty of time,,,,,just slowly decrease your nic level over several months.

First, I'd worry about getting off the stinkies,,,,,,,,,several months into that, I'd start decreasing by a mg or two every few weeks.

Really, it's not that tough, and you have plenty of time.

Good Luck!

So my employer just dropped the bomb that we have until 1/1/2014 to quit smoking or our insurance rates will jump dramatically (we're talking ~$1000/mo increase). Well if that isn't the kick in my pants to quit then i don't know what is!

I have a Synergy ce4 right now, but haven't used it much due to trying to mix flavors and them not really working for me, and the fact I bought it as a "toy" and not really to quit smoking.

I will be getting an evic within the next few days or so and giving the synergy to my wife.

Just wanted to stop in and say hello!

That's one good excuses to start vaping. Welcome to the vaping world. Protank would go nice with your evic.

So I was reading about how different setups give you a different "pull" when you vape. I'm looking for a slightly harder pull as I noticed today with my synergy the pull is quite a bit less as compared to my analogs. What have you guys found to give you the most realistic cigarette drag feel? I think getting this part right is going to be one of the biggest factors when it comes to ease of quitting analogs.

I like plain, regular old fashioned cartos for pull,,,,,everything else I've tried seems really airy,,,,,,,but I haven't tried them all, so someone else might have other suggestions,,,,,

You should look into buying up a bunch of Egos on Fasttech and selling them all to your coworkers for a profit :p

Hahaha not a bad idea! We actually have a designated e-cig smoking area as our premises has been tobacco free for a few years now.

I like a heavy pull, but a lighter, cool vapor. Or at least I think I will... After some more research I think I might go with an IBTank for my carto.

I just recently made the switch myself, its been about two months now. I don't know if it was luck or what but my first choice of juice in a rather limited selection was blueberry at 12mg and even in the cheapo clearo kit I bought I loved the flavor. Thee nicotine level hit me just right too. Between having a flavor I liked and the right Nic strength I simply walked away from stink sticks that day. I have not truly wanted once since. I was a pack and a half a day smoker for almost 20 years. I myself said I'd never be able to quit. I liked to smoke. I like to vape more!

There have been a few bad moments. I will advise that you make sure you have extra batteries. That was my first mistake, and my first unwanted cigarette while I waited for my battery to charge. Man it tasted awful, and that was only four or five days in. Running out of juice was my second mistake, I live in the sticks and can not get any easily. That was about two weeks in and that cigarette almost made me sick.

I have found the CE type clearomizers to be a bit too fiddly for my liking, they can work well but it seems like you're constantly having to adjust something. For the price though, they arent bad and I think they have alot of folks considering trying vaping which is great. I have since upgraded to a protank. Yes, the draw is a lot lighter but it did not take long at all to get used to, and the flavor is SO much better. That is what really makes the difference for me. If you can get all the Nic your body craves in a flavor you enjoy, why smoke and feel and smell like you just licked the bottom of an ashtray?

I hope the switch goes as well for you as it did for me. It is a real PITA when your employer decides they have the right to tell you what you can and cant do off the clock. Unfortunately as someone already said, it seems were all heading that way.

Best of luck and welcome.

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to need 24mg though. I have 18 now and all it does is make me want to go smoke an analog. Although I haven't really put my mind to full time capping so who knows. I have a bit of juice stocked up from when I bought my synergy, and I work in a cubicle so charging during the day shouldn't be a problem. It's going to come down to what's going to satisfy my cravings.
