Any chance your postal carrier is still in your area so you can track him down one on one? I have done that a couple times and my package had got dropped behind his seat. Also, did the tracking update say "out for delivery" or that the delivery was actually physically made? I know how frustrated you have to be -we have all been thru it with missing vape mail. Hopefully it will still turn up. Keep us posted and hang in there.

He is still out on his route. I will be at the post office to talk to him soon. But it never went to out to delivery, I looked at it at about 8am and it said "deaparted sorting facility IL" (I'm in CT btw) and then at about 8:30 it changed to delivered.

Well, that's not the deal I saw. At that price, I'd expect the vendor to do the legwork to figure out why you didn't get it. He would be the one to file the claim.

What exactly can the seller do? As far as he (and ebay) are concerned, they're off the hook if the post office says it was 'delivered'. The buyer needs to take it up with his local post office (which it sounds like he is doing).

OP - best of luck. Are you anywhere near Upstate SC? I have some spare egos I can get to you.

I'm sorry to hear this, I had a huge issue with USPS last week as well. However, it said departed sorting facility for 8am today and then at 830 said delivered? That's hopefully good news and probably means it was just scanned incorrectly. When did the seller actually ship your item?

Actually, this could be a good point for you to prove that it couldn't have been delivered (depending on how far away the 'sort facility' is from your house). It might prove that the postman scanned all the packages at the start of his route, not when he actually put it in your mailbox.

He should have offered insurance. As a seller, I'd never send anything out over $50 that wasn't insured. It's only a couple dollars.

Yeah, it wasn't their fault and I would hate to get them involved. The weird thing is that after a couple days I contacted usps customer service and after 45 minutes of telling the automated system "CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!" they finally connected me. They said that all of the other packages from that frieght that went to CT were delivered so mine should be there that day. That was last Thursday.

Also, unfortunately I'm in Connecticut, but thank you so much for the offer. I don't think I could take anyone elses stuff though. I would feel too guilty. But I do really appreciate the offer.

That's what I was thinking, but it never reached the local post office or went through sorting.

I think they do share some blame for not at least insuring a $120 worth of merchandise they sold. That's really irresponsible.

While that is true, they were really helpful and responsive. They have been contacting me daily on my delivery. I just really hate to bug people when they did what was needed. I guess that's just the way I am. Kinda screws me over more then anything but it is what it is I guess

Also, me being new to all of this I kinda just figured there would be some sort of insurance on their shipping, so that's my fault.

It would have cost them about $1.75 with an outside company to insure it.

USPS Priority mail
Free insurance to $50
Reduced rate to $100
Started in July

Contact your Postmaster - proper Delivery is required. Falsifying a Delivery document can be big trouble for the Postal Employee.
Do not let this go lightly.

Oh, I don't plan on it. But I'm just really disapointed, and would really like a lot of nicotine in my lungs right now.
