If I could offer some advice, don't be so set on a tobacco flavor. Most of us who have been vaping a while have found that tobacco flavors are the toughest for manufacturers to get right. And the flavor that you got very well might be a good flavor but needs to "steep", or mature, before it reaches its optimal flavor. This can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks.

Hi Baditude, can you tell me more on the need to steep?
How do I do it? Open the cap and leave it open to expose to the open air? Like what we do with wine?

Best reason I can relate to steeping would be an anology to cooking. You make a crock pot of beef stew or chili. It will taste fine the day you make it. However, given time to age or "steep", it will continue to taste better to allow the flavors of all of the componests to meld together for an even better tasting end product.

Some juices need absolutely no steeping and will taste the same from the time of delivery and throughout their lifetime. These are the generic flavors that likely were created in very large batches and cut into smaller quantities and packaged into bottles to wait in the stock room until they are ordered and shipped out to a customer.

The ones that I have found to benefit from steeping are the ones that are custom ordered. These vendors give you options on nicotine strength, choice of pg/vg ratio, add extra flavoring, add more sweetener, add menthol, etc. These include the organic flavors as well. Each bottle is individually mixed. If the vendor includes a "birth date" on the label, that's a hint that the juice will benefit from steeping.

Most people have their own method of steeping. All I do is shake the bottle briskly, open the cap overnight, return the cap, shake briskly again, and then put it away for however long I might feel that particular juice will need steeping. For some, it might only be 3-4 days. For others, it might be 1-2 weeks. My favorite flavors are in the coffee category and many of them happen to be organic, too. I let them steep for an entire week if not two. Flavors that involve multiple complex flavors generally benefit from steeping.

I personally do not believe boiling or running warm or hot water accelerates the steeping process. In fact, I'd fear that it might ruin the juices. I've always heard to avoid exposing juice to heat and sunlight, as this will definitely degrade nicotine. There is also no reason to store juice in the refrigerator. Some juices are mixed in an alcohol base and these will benefit by leaving the caps off for a day or two to allow the alcohol to evaporate away.

Never throw out a juice that is distasteful upon delivery. Put it away for another day and revisit it again. You could be pleasantly surprised by the change. My all time favorite flavor is Virgin Vapors Kona Velvet Milkshake. The first time I tried it, it was very disappointing. It has an alcohol base and uses all organic flavoring. I did the above ritual for steeping with open bottle overnight, shaking, and letting it rest in a dark place for a week. I could not believe how wonderful this flavor was the next time I tried it.

My advice.. don't be afraid to try non-tobacco flavors! I wanted something to replace Swisher Sweets Little Cherry cigars.. came close enough, but now I can't stand the smell.. LOL I have cherry blast from Heavens Vape and chocolate and a nice Cherry/chocolate/coffee from Tasty Vaper that I enjoy.
The headaches could be from dehydration, the PG liquid does suck moisture out of you (part of what it does..) or could be just plain nic withdrawal.. Everyone is different

Anyone else get a headache when they started vaping ? Does .12 seem a bit low for a 25 year smoker ?

I was a 5 pack / week American Spirit smoker and I vape 12mg. When I started 18/24mg was way too much for me and gave me headaches.

I've been vaping for 2 months and just found a tobacco flavor I like. Heather's heavenly vapes - ry4. It really does need to steep for a week or so. I almost got discouraged with tobacco flavor when I started, luckily one menthol flavor got me though which is odd since I hated menthol cigarettes.

YEs they do. www.smoketonight.com. I am digging this bacco berry. Could have a little more throat hit though.. Day two tobacco free and even with the e-cig it takes some work. I did buy a clearomizer there to try. May stick with those on my ego c batt. To my surprise I am only vaping about 1.5ml a day. I really believe most of my addiction is the whole ritual and not the nicotine alone.
