:( today has not been too good. I've smoked a couple MORE than just a couple, a whole bunch more *sigh*
In the midst of changing my game plan and waiting for my MVP to come in...
Don't sweat it 2PaD! It's still early and you just need to find that right combination of device (the MVP is a sweet one too) and a juice that hits you just right!
Don't worry, stick with us and we all should be able to find something right up your alley!

The next step is your favourite smokes tasting like the top of a 9volt battery. Then you know you're done with them. (I got lucky happened to me on the third day from 1PAD, wasn't even trying to quit) I found a half pack of analogs I hadn't given away yet and out of curiosity tried one on week two... couldn't take 3 puffs before throwing it away. It'll happen keep it up.

It's not weird. I think it's a normal side effect of making the transition. The last "real" cig I smoked was a full flavored Camel that I bummed off a friend, which would have made me cough back when I was smoking because I did smoke lights for the last year or so. It was like sucking on a straw compared to vaping, and tasted gross too. Lots of people on here have apparently had similar experiences.

Vaping, if you have a decent setup and good juice, is just overall more satisfying than a cigarette. I've told my husband before, that is why Big Tobacco is shaking in their boots about it…because if everyone tried vaping with decent equipment and good juice and saw how much better it is, it would KILL smoking.

I agree totally. And that's precisely why the FDA will kill vaping. The losses to BT, BP and Big Government could not be tolerated.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
I was having quite a hard time of it earlier today....and even though I smoked about 14 ciggs, really this is still a significantly less than 35-40 ciggs, if not more on some days.
My 'clock' restarted about 3 hours ago, and I haven't smoked in that time. I got my new e-liquid in. I had purchased two different tobacco flavors. I'm gonna blog here shortly about those...as I think the laugh I had trying them really put me in a much better mood.
It's going to take some time and a lot of sampling, but I am confident that i will find the perfect blend for me :)

Aroma Eliquids WTA blends is what helped this 20+ 2 1/2 pack a day, smoker. I chain smoked in the morning, heck I chain smoked ALL day! Initially the morning and after meals was hard, and then just during very stressful situations. You might want to try two set ups, one with a lower nic so you can chain smoke without getting ill, and one with a higher nic to try when you just need a real good hit, but on average most heavy smokers start out around 18mgs. The Dark Honey Tobacco from WTA was delicious, every one I knew who smoke preferred starting out on it over every other tobacco eliquid they tried. Nicoticket's NET eliquids, their tobacco flavors like The Virus are also excellent choices and Grandma's Cinnamon Danish was perfect for the mornings. I use to go straight to the computer and I had my pass through and regular ecig and I'd read the boards as I chain vaped. It DOES get easier, everything your saying is completely normal for where you've come from, and I had to keep my "emergency pack" for months before I could finally get rid of it! Before you know it you won't be able to get through a half of cigarette before you put it out if you keep up! Good luck to you!

Don't forget there are "tobaccos" and then there are TOBACCOS. Many vendors offers "tobacco" liquid which has the same base tobacco flavoring in them. Then there are the naturally extracted tobaccos, which are exactly what they say. For a smoker, I'd recommend Gaia (NET) from Heathers Heavenly Vapes, and also some other sources such as Want 2 Vape, (Morley, Rock Star etc). You might like to check the natural tobacco forum here on ECF for some ideas.

And keep it up! You're doing great.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

maybe it is to do with taste buds getting used to other things then preferring them over the original thing? i found a strange thing years ago to do with food, i used to eat weetabix for breakfast every morning, one day they didn't have the original at the shop so i bought a cheaper variety, at first they didn't taste as good? then after a few weeks i had eaten the whole box [48] i bought a packet of original weetabix and they tasted horrible? so answer- back to the cheaper brand :)

Same here. I started vaping on Jan 3rd and my quit day was Jan 8th simply because the cigarette didn't taste good. Can't put my banner up yet since this is only my 11th post. Have I been tempted since Jan 8th? Yup. Have I succumbed? Nope. Every time I think about lighting up one of the cigs that I still have in a drawer I just vape.

I have very much been enjoying everyone's reply and want to thank you AGAIN.
I have to be truthful in saying that I'm quite envious of those members who have been able to quit 'smoking' just like that..
I've not been able to do that YET.

For me, this past week when I've lit up a cigarette, it's not so much that I've been craving one or that I'm anxious in the way you get when your trying to 'wean' off nicotine. I think it's been more of a psychological dependency, up and over a nicotine dependency. Cigarettes have been with me the better part of my life, almost 30 years. There isn't a day that has gone by that I haven't had them either on me or by me at all times. I think I mentioned this before in another thread, but for me, it's a little scary letting go of those last 3 or so ciggs.
I have about 10 cigarettes left right at this moment and earlier today the thought came over me "what am I going to do when they are gone?" which I have to tell you, left me feeling somewhat depressed, so much so that I actually called my husband to pick me up a pack of smokes on his way home from work.
It's not that I want to or even feel much of a desire to smoke them these days...but just knowing they are right there is comforting to me.
And what do I do in the mornings? Again, it sounds stupid, but for 30 years, just as soon as I wake up, the first thing I do is smoke.
When I woke up this morning I actually lay there for about 10 minutes trying to talk myself out of lighting up a cigarette, but for the life of me, I just felt compelled to light up so I could then go about my normal morning activities without thinking about it.
I'm sure someone who has never smoke will read this and perhaps think that this all sounds stupid, but I'm not quite sure how else to describe it.

I'm glad that my 'analogs' are starting to have less and less appeal and like someone mentioned above, hopefully there will come that day where I can comfortably let go completely.

This is me too. I try to keep remembering how much cleaner I smell, that keeps me going. But I'm 2 weeks Into vaping and seem to have about 4 analogs a day now down from 2 PAD. I especially don't smoke anymore after I shower before I'm headed out to work or a meeting.

WTG jcolom...I was right in your shoes just about 2 weeks ago myself. Once you feel ready..and only you can really know when that will be, I'm sure you will be able say goodbye to those last few ciggs.
I said goodbye to mine about 37 hours ago...I have had a few uncomfortable moments, but I've managed to get past them. It has helped me not to have ANY in the house or close by.
Good luck to you...

I completely understand! It took me 3 tries bouncing between vaping and analogs before I muscled my way past the ciggs. I ended up forcing myself to smoke ultra lights and getting the right flavor/nicotine combination to make the transition complete.
