New to vaping (a month) after quitting smoking a month ago. I've gone from 18 mg to 12 and starting on 6 tomorrow. I ordered a bottle of kringles curse with 0mg nicotine for when I'm done with nicotine. I didn't know that this drastically reduced throat hit. I haven't noticed a difference going from 18-12. Just expressing dissapoint. Live and learn I guess!

That seems like a fast step down from just quitting recently. I spent 2 years at 36mg before I could step down to 24. Another 6 months before I could step down to 18 and another 6 months before getting to 12mg. I tried going lower but my body said no. Guess I am staying at 12mg.

Same with me--I started at 24 and went to 12 within a month. I ended up smoking again, albeit only a few a day. Going down too fast was a disaster for me.

I quit the sticks a little over a month ago also. Started with 16mg juice and in a week it was making my throat raw. I dropped to 4 mg for my ADV and keep the 16mg just for coffee time in the morning or occasionally after a meal. A few days ago, I quit having any nic a few hrs before bedtime because I think it was keeping me up. So now it's 16mg in the morning, 4mg all day and zero nic after about 8-9pm. Works for me.

I wasn't trying to drop that quickly, it was necessary for me to be comfortable. Mornings are still an issue somewhat but the rest of the day is fine. :) Hoping that will go away soon.

I had the same problem everytime I tried to step down. Then I started to do it slowly...have half of my juice 12 and the other 6..after a while you get used to it. I tried some of my old 18 mg I had started out with and couldn't take it cause of the throat hit. To me 3 to 6 mg is fine. I do have 0 nic that use at night. Just don't try to step down to fast. Thats the joy of vaping ...you can control nearly every part of it.

I switched from 24 to18mg then to12mg with no problems. The switch from 12mg to 6mg was too difficult. Very little throat hit and had withdraws. I had a local B&M mix me up some 9mg that I used for a while. Now I'm vaping 6mg and it was a much easier step down. So if you have someone local that can make you 9mg or you can mix 6mg and 12mg, I would suggest doing that.
