After about a year's hiatus, I'm getting back in to e-cigarettes, thanks to the eGo and new Johnson Creek / Red Oak liquid.

By and large, the experience is much better than last year, with my Intellicig Evo and various 510's. The biggest pains with those being the need to constantly walk around with a mini laboratory all day long.

I've tried the LR attys on my eGo and love them. But, I'm finding that I need to top off my carts constantly. Either I'm just hitting it too often, or the Red Oak liquid is more than any 510 cart can properly wick. Either way, I'm practically dripping at this point.

On the other hand, I love the idea of the 510 cartos. I've tried SGS and Boge, and both of them are great for the first few hits, then the flavor goes away, and it's like I'm vaping steam.

So tell me, experts, what's my best course of action here?

Do I go with something like a GLV and use cartos at 5V, theoretically maintaining the flavor with the convenience of a carto that I'm not constantly topping off?

Or am I better off with a Wetbox, where I'm potentially sacrificing flavor in exchange for convenience?

I prefer the new "premium" 808 cartos over the 510 variety. The Turbos from VaporNine and the CoolCarts from V4L are both great and they ROCK at 5V. vaping at 5V, you will have to refill more often, but it's SO worth it IMHO. I had a WetBox and the vapor and throat hit were too weak for my taste. Hope this helps.

I definitely appreciate the input here. What I'd give for a nearby store that actually had devices to try out...

After doing some more reading though, I'm starting to think that I'm better off with a 5V device. I'm really siding towards the GLV2, if only the entry fee wasn't over a Benjamin.

5V or variable voltage is the way to go. The Little Sister from boxmods.net is $65 and a 5V box mod is $35 (notincluding batts & charger) from indyvaporshop if you don't want to spend as much. But the GLV2 does rock.

I have a GLV 5v and I have been using the ZFM (zero filler mod) carts for about a week with a regular 510 atty. They work pretty good and I only have to change the carts a few times a day. And that is with heavy vaping. You can get about 12-14 drops per cart and they are empty when you need to refill unlike the regular carts which stop giving vapor but still have a lot of juice that doesn't seem to finish. I have tried the 510 cartomizers and while they last longer I found that I got the burnt taste too often.

I had looked at the Little Sister, but it seemed to me like the plastic wasn't very durable for long-term use. Almost like I'd need to buy a hard case for it, if I wanted to pocket it daily.

Now, if it was a feeder like the Wetbox, I'd probably be all over it at that price. :)

The Little sister might look like it is flimsy, but it isnt.

It is very hard plastic and not thin. I am very please with it.

The GLV2 is awesome also.. I have 2 of them and a Mini.

The BUZZ Vari volt.. notcigs.com Aweosme too

Well... I did end up buying something.

I thought my best bet might be to go with the 5V GLV, and noticed that they're selling the mini for $15 off... so if I bought both, I could have a 5V cap, and a cap with no resistor that would let me do 6V on the full GLV body and 3.7V on the mini.

So I bought...

A Prodigy V3.

Yeah, it doesn't do 5V at all, but after reading and watching reviews, it seems like the biggest contention is that 6V makes some liquids taste burnt. That's actually kind of what I want. I'm not looking for the delicate taste of melons and snozzberries.

The sell for me, was that you can put a 3.7V battery in the Prodigy V3 and LR cartos are getting easier to find.

It just showed up today, and so far, it's been pretty incredible.
