My Wetbox, couple of months old, has started to short out. not every time, but it just did it again to me.

what happens is I turn the switch on, press the button, and no vapor. I then remove the back cover and quickly remove the battery. The negative terminal is too hot to touch. The first time I touched it, my thumb was burned with spiral marks from the spring, it was so hot. I removed the juice bottle and the carto and wiped that area down with a paper towel. I did get some juice out of the threads and the catch cup area that first time. Since then, I've taken to removing the carto and adapter when not vaping so no juice would leak down into the threads. Just now when it shorted I was using a carto with a native 510 connection so no adapter in play.

the negative terminal spring is now only half the height it used to be and is missing some springing action. Caused by the spring getting heated while in the collapsed position, i.e; battery installed.

Anyone else have this shorting problem? I'm very hesitant in using it at all at this point.

This unit doesn't have the new switch. I'm using Fusion 801 cartos at 2.2 oHm and currently an Ikenvape 501 carto at 2.7 oHm. Got red hot/caused short using both cartos.

Hey Repent,
It appears that you have shorted something internal and could of possibly been caused by the adapter. You can send it back to Missy and she can easily tell what is wrong with it. If you still have the directions it has her email and address on it or you can send an email to DGliem00@gmail.com and we can send you the info. Thanks
Drew

I know that when I installed the adapter I only screwed it in far enough to make contact. I didn't gorilla it on. In looking down in the 510 connector, I can see that there is still a gasket between the center hole post for positive and the connector itself, being the negative so I know I didn't install the adapter so hard that it damaged that division between the two.

Guess I'll look for those instructions.

Just wondering if others have had this issue?

Can the fact that it has the old switch make a difference? I know when I ordered this Wetbox, the new Wetbox with the better switch had come out.
