I use to use high resistances.. I would look into your wicking..

Are you getting dry hits after using it for a while?
Or with chain vaping with it?

Long duration, wick may be blocking juice well, or not close enough to it.
Chain vaping, wicks too tight.

If you don't get dry hits, coil's just a little too high over airhole.. or too low. Test that with the chimney on... I've seen it being too high doing that. I don't know the black clone.

Oh yeah, nice avatar.
no dry hits, even chain-vaping

I think the distance from the air must be the factor, as the new build, in addition to being bigger is also a little higher, and the taste is much better

oh yeah: ;-D

It is kinda "popping" a little too much though, as opposed to a smoother hiss that I get with the same mod on an Aerotank with a 2.1/2.2 ohm double coil.

Does anyone know what would be causing this? Maybe the larger gauge of the 30 Kantha?

Turn down a voltage a little? It will be running hotter at 1.9 ohm than at 2.2 ohm for the same voltage.

I've tried, all the way down the levels, on VV and VW settings. Still popping more than on the Kanger coils. IMO makes it harsher

Crackling is normal. Popping.....maybe not.

The more important question: Is it spitting actual liquid juice into your mouth? If so, I suggest using a different drip tip, one with a larger bore. I know it sounds utterly counterintuitive, but I swear it is exactly what worked for me when the addition of a nano kit turned my 1 Ohm KFL into a fire-spitting dragon.

well one 1.9 ohm coil is a lot less surface area compared to two 4 ohm coils. The dualcoil is going to take twice the watts to run at the same temperature as the single coil.

Popping is NOT abnormal and can simply be the particular Juice components reacting to heat. Some pop more than others.
Why would I say that?
5 Kayfun tanks
All wicked the same
5 Different flavors loaded
Some are Pop happy
Some are not
All work excellent.

If the Vape is good do not force unnecessary changes. Just enjoy it!
And Please do not try comparing a Kayfun to a AeroTank.
Kind of like a Toyota to a Ferrari
