Okay i got a new e-cig Saturday, Victorytek Freedom its a pen style one. The sample one tasted awesome in the store, but mine has not tasted so good. I bought two containers of juice and when I juice up it does taste better, but seems I am always juicing this darn thing up. Is this normal? If I don't keep it filled it has a burnt taste.

One more thing about dripping oil onto atty, I add no more than two drops, should I add more? I really dislike this burnt taste. Ive been messing with these e-cigs for almost three weeks and I am smoke free for 3 whole days now. Yippppeeeee and i want to stay that way but I really can't deal with this bad taste much longer.

I started out on the Fifty-One Duo e-cigs but quit those when I read post on this forum about the filler in the carts being burnt up so I pulled the filler out and yes it was rather burnt up. Too bad because I really did enjoy the taste of those and although the filler was burnt I had no burnt taste.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

...suggestions/advice/tips??? maybe not what you wanna hear...but, here goes anyway...get a better PV, goto Liberty Flights for a Riva510, Hoosierecigsupply for a KGO or a 14650 E-Power from either of them...add some LR Boge 2.0 cartos from those same site or from Crystal Clear Vaping(they sell the E-Power as well) and you will be a much happier camper...............

Awwww just as I had suspected a new e-cig may be the solution. I've only been vaping for a few weeks and already have $250 invested. Oh well its just money and I'll work harder to find the right smoking apparatus for me.

I see alot of people suggesting Ego T sysstem or the 510 T so I did check out their website, but still trying to gather information before making a decision, considering i did no research on my first two e-cigs.

Why do you suggest the Riva, KGO--what makes them better than Ego?

Thanks madjack
PS I am sober today and finding it much easier to post than a few days ago. Lol !

Hi tippy,

Some people have problems with tanks leaking (there have been discussions on this forum tonight on the subject.) Personally, I'm using the eGo 510 Standard kit from Liberty-Flights. It's the best one I've tried so far. Yes, you do have to top off carts quite often, and cartomizers a little less often, but it's the nature of the beast. Drip tips constantly have to be topped off, but the trade off is you don't have to pop off or unscrew anything. Just drop it right in.

As far as bad taste, I get that with my eGo whenever I have a new atomizer. I blow it out to get the primer out of it. New setups seem to have a "break-in" period, but should only last a couple of days at most. The eGo 510 is great for me, because it's always consistent. I know I can rely on it. If I taste something nasty now, I pop off my cart to check if any poly fill fibers have stuck to the atty. That's normally my problem. I pull them off, tuck the filler a little deeper into the cart and top off. That usually does the trick.

The key is finding a system that works for you. Every kit has pros and cons. Personally, I just find the eGo 510 as hassle-free as I'm going to get. Plus, a 510 is very versatile and buying add ons are a cinch.

Good luck!

They PV they recommended have better battery life, and better performance. I have A Riva and love it and would recommend it to anyone. It is a 3.7v with a 510 connection, so lots of room for upgrades and mods if I wanted. I think the differences between the kgo and the ego are the mah, which means how long the battery last before a recharge, and I think that the ego is 3.3v vs the kgo which is 3.7v. (I might be mistaken) I think that there are a few other differences too, but I dont know them off the top of my head. The boge carto's madjack recommended will make your life easier with filling. Instead of filling a cartage every 30 min or so, a cartomizer can last you all day. I personally vape a lot and "top off" maybe 3 times a day with a carto.

...the Riva has a stronger batt(3.7+- Vs 3.3+-) than the original eGo and the KGO is stronger yet(4.2+-)...the KGO is also an 1100mah batt so, you get better batt life...especially if using low resistance cartos/attys...on the eGoT and 510T...I looked long and hard at them when I was researching what to start with and they looked good...on paper...the reality is, I saw at least as many(or more) complaints about weak flavor/vapor/TH/leakage and having to fiddle with the drip plate/atty to get them to work properly as I saw praise and so, I went with the Riva510 bundle from Liberty Flights(30bux)...if I had come across the KGO(42bux at hoosierecigsupply) at the time, that may well have been my choice...another viable choice is the E-Power...just a tad fatter than either of the others, it uses non-proprietary batts which are cheaper to replace...its price is the same as the KGO at Hoosierecigsupply...Crystal Clear Vapers also has a good deal on an E-Power kit as well as excellent prices on LR cartomizers(a must have).......

tippyclubb,

Although you may get MANY suggestions here, almost NONE of 'em will misguide ya! We're here for one of two reasons:

We want to know what to buy.

We want to help those that don't know what to buy.

One universal truth that almost everyone that has vaping experience will admit to, is that small batts SUX! So just start out with at least an eGo type system and grow from there if ya need.

Good luck and happy vaping!

Hi Tippyclubb and welcome to the forum :)
I was out a couple hundred when I finally found this place too. The good news is, now you know it's possible to stop or cut back. You can get a quality setup that will be, more or less, trouble free from about $30 on up. There's lots of support here and someone, somewhere, has already made every mistake imaginable so don't ever be afraid to ask questions :)
Relax and enjoy

Hey Tippy!

I just switched today from a KR808 to a ego style (inferno) and I must say the difference is amazing!! I am using clearomizers with it so I am not sure how much difference your fill/cart system makes but these are sooo different. Much more vapor, much more flavor, so much more like smoking a real cigarette. I am hooked and will never look back!

riva, kgo, tgo, e-power and of course ego, ego-t and ego-c are all ego type systems. they (typically) have in common the form factor (size and shape), a 650mAh to 1100mAh battery (some are larger still), and 510 connections for atomizers/cartomizers/accessories. which you pick comes down to your preferred vaping style and price point.
