Some batteries leave the button lit while charging. But once it's green, it should be charged.
Then - it it's OFF (won't work), try turning it on with SIX quick clicks - sometimes, five doesn't work, but six never does any harm...
ALSO check that "recessed connection" issue mentioned above - that's happened to me too.

Kind of depends on your charger, is it possible for you to load a picture of your system: battery, atomizer/cartomizer/juice tank, charger?

Is your battery the screw on kind? Does it have threads?

The first few times I charged mine, I just placed the battery on the non USB side of the charger and pushed on it assuming it would click into place. It kept slipping off the charger but I thought you just had to not move it while it was charging. I never got a very good charge and it was super annoying. About a week or ten days in, I realized I had to screw the battery onto the USB charger and tighten it. Once I did that, I started getting great charges.

They're all different but I have an eGo and the battery blinks red when I first put it on the charger. The charger light is constant red. As it begins charging the light on the battery stops blinking and stays constant red. The indicator on the USB has a red light until it's fully charged, then it turns green.

Once the charger light turns green, the battery is fully charged, disconnect it and put an atomizer/clearomizer/tank on. Press the button 5 times and it should be constant red. Hold the button down as you drag in on it and let the button go when you stop breathing in.

Some eGos are variable voltage. Press the button five more times, my light turns purple this is the medium setting. Press it 5 more times and the light turns blue which is the highest setting.

There is so much to learn... but it's worth it.

Alright here are some pictures of my setup. After putting it back on the charger I noticed it go red for a moment then green.... I'm thinking something is off with the connection? Whether its the charger or battery. I've got it connected to my laptop and it goes back and forth depending on how I twist it or position it... But alas here are some pictures. 20130701_211748.jpg20130701_211741.jpg20130701_211754.jpg20130701_211812.jpg20130701_211825.jpg

I don't see anything unusual there. The battery should screw into the USB charger pretty easily, line the two pieces up, twist slowly making sure the threads are meeting correctly. It should take about 8-9 turns till it's on there securely. Once it's attached, plug it in to either the wall via wall adapter, car via car adapter or computer via USB port. You might want to test other outlets with other devices just to make sure all is working correctly or try another outlet.
Lots of retailers and online sellers limit your warranty period to a week or less on ecigarette hardware, so if it's defective you'll want to get it returned ASAP.
That's all I have but there are people on here far more knowledgeable than I, hopefully if your issue is not solved, some of them will give you more direction.
