What am I missing? logical explanationd please

OK, I feel as if I'm loosing my mind. Had a great vape with the Grant last night using the black AW 14500 and two magnets. Charged the battery overnight, got my cartomizers read so I can vape with my coff as I do every morning. Put the battery and 2 magnets in my Grant, nothing. Checked the button, spring etc, nothing exept a rattle inside the tube, meaning the battery must have shrunk.I have never heard such a thing but obviously something happend and I doubt the tube grew. Again, no vaping for me until the 17500 batteries come in.
Any explanations? I can't see the logic here. Thanks

Probably the spring collapsed or fell out last night when you opened it up to charge the battery. Remove the bottom cap and take a look at the spring

If you say the spring collapsed, would I see this in any way or would it look just as it did last night?

A collapsed spring isn't springy

Collapsed spring should look either very 'compressed' together or becomes distorted and no longer springy.

If there's a short, the heat generated will 'melt' the spring thus the word collapsed spring.

Have you tried other Atties or cartos? Maybe you need to pull the center carto post out? It may not be making contact.

I am scared to touch the spring, since it is rather stiff, onlt the first 3 loops are springy. I took some pictures of the piece since I am not sure.

Thanks, I just pulled the sppring off and now it's just completly messed up until I get a new spring. Could you use it without a spring with a larger battery or is there any way to fix the spring. It's pretty bend and I really don't want to wait another 2 weeks until I can vape again. Should have never sold the Stealth.

Relax silver, you don't need to freak out.

Like imeo said try to expand the spring. If you can't then try to find a similar sized spring from a mechanical pen or something of that nature. Try to make that spring work on the post until your new springs get there.

If its not the spring which is the problem then look at the center post and make sure you are making good contact.

Imeo, I don't even know what that means. I think it is steady. Bought 5 different springs, spend all afternoon, tried to fix it and now the bateries fit but makes no contact.
The Grant is such an easy device and I can't even make this work.
Btw, the guy in the mechanic shop looked at the top cap (didn't know that it can be taken somewhat apart).
Yes Cags, I will need a back-up ASAP but have to wait a bit since I spend a lot lately.

TS Spring won't fit the Grant,i bought some and they're too small. Did your cartos work on the Grant at first ?

The centre post is floating on my Grant, if you look at the base of the top cap there is a brass circle,push it towards the cap then put your carto on.

I couldn't rwechsler,i tried and tried.I don't know what the width of the TS post is but i bought 10 x 6.4 x 0.5mm and they were perfect.
