I have read so many messages on this forum and everyone seems to love thier e-cig. I ordered my super mini and it arrived last night; I was so excited and then I puffed and shrugged..puffed and shrugged. hmm...am I missing something? I'm not sure what I expected but I guess it was more than I got. There is very little flavor and it takes alot just to puff and get vapor let alone a feeling of smoking. Oh and it wheezes when I puff which drives me crazy; do they all do that? Do I have the wrong e-cig for what I am looking for?? I bought this one from Meltrix at MyEcig because I read one of the message where someone in this forum recommended it. I really want this to work for me but I really have no idea why people are raving about thier e-cig. I want to rave but I just can't do anything but shrugg and think 'ok well it is different but so what??'

Any advice?

Hey Tumbleweed ...

ESmoking is definitely an acquired taste. Many of the flavors are very very mild, and others are very very strong. Definitely not as harsh as traditional tobacco cigarettes, and I think thats the main reason why so many people end up not fully making the switch to esmoking. They actually miss the harshness of regular cigs.

Like SJ above me stated, make sure the battery is full charged with a new cartridge. The next step may be to order eliquid, and start dripping or topping off the cartridge.

Check out www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com for more information on eliquid.

Good Luck :)

If you are a light smoker then the mini would be a good e-cig for you; however, if you are a heavy smoker than I agree with Cindy, a penstyle would fit your needs better.

I have bought a couple of Meltrex's penstyles, he tests each one of them; however, I cannot comment on whether the "super" mini would be a good e-cig for anyone who craves nicotine.

How much do you smoke a day in real cigs?

I smoke light menthols and smoke about 1 to 1 1/2 packs a day. I did read somewhere about DSE101 or something like that not being good but I honestly thought since several recommended meltrix's website that the mini was a different style than that one. I can't recall the style that I read to get but anywhere you look to buy a mini they don't tell you the style number. Can anyone tell me if they all wheeze/whistle when you take a puff?

IMO, if you smoke a 1 to 1 1/2 packs a day, I would try a penstyle. With a mini you would constantly be sucking on it and with a super mini - you probably wouldn't get any satisfaction from it at all.

IMO Meltrex does sell good e-cigs, however, if you are a heavy smoker, buying a super mini would be like smoking lights and going to a ultra ultra light and expecting to get the same effect. Its just not going to happen.

Yes most of the mini do make a sucking sound because of the hole in the atomizer. I have never purchased the super mini - so I can only assume it would too.

And TumbleWeed in case you become disillusioned again, here's my personal experience so far with ecigs:
As a heavy smoker I use 4 pen styles all at once otherwise I'd be recharging batteries, changing cartridges or refilling them all day long. When I have an urge to smoke I puff on pen style #1, then #2, then #3 and #4.
Occasionally I only smoke #1 and #2 which both have a high nic content. I have no or low nic in #s 3 & 4.
Good luck!

Hi Tum

I have the Super e-Cig Supermini (generic, blue box, stickman blowing smoke rings on the cover). There are pros and cons with this style. I reviewed this a while back (link below) but the short answer is this style of e-cig is never going to cut it as a sole device. I bought two of them and a couple of spare atomisers, made up four complete units and I carry them like a pack of cigs on a night out.

Do we actually have standard cig sized super-mini's yet, that you could actually fit into a regular cigarette packet, that would be an interesting way to carry them :)

I wanted to let everyone know that I contacted Meltrex (MYECIG.com) to exchange the supermini with a penstyle. First of all; GREAT customer service! He responded to my email in less than 24 hours and was very willing to help me out. He exchange the two at an even cost so that I did not have to pay more for the penstyle and sent it on to me before even receiving the one I have back. I recieved it today and wow..I love it!!! So to any new folks that are looking to buy thier first e-cig I can definetly attest to the fact that you should start out with a penstlye first. Oh and I also got some johnson smoke juice too and so far I am loving the artic mint (haven't tried any other flavor yet).
