The fishbowl effect should improve within a couple days. But the progressives? Good luck figuring out how to use them effectively. Card playing probably will be a useful learning tool!

The new progressives are done digitally for a better sweet spot , I went with a high end Zeiss lens....Easy to drive with because your always looking at the distance area...Walk into a grocery store though where all the items are at different distances...Makes me crazy.... I will give them a couple of weeks so my brain can adjust to them before I build a pair of sunglasses for day time driving, might go with single vision in that pair? I don't know but my head
hurts from wearing them all day:2cool:

They definitely take some getting used to. I think it varies from person to person. I have to admit I still find myself peering over the TOP of my glasses from time to time ;D

GAH, the heat! I'm thankful to be born in a time of central air conditioning. The A/C and my trusty ice-making refrigerator are what keep me sane during these times...
trying to cool off , just woke from an unintentional nap. This heat has my sleeping pattern all messed up. Its been to hot to sleep at night and too hot get a really restful nap.

The entertainment return on this doesn't quite equal the effort explaining it, but c'est la vie.

Anyway, you know how the phrase "Luke, I'm your father" is attributed to "The Empire Strikes Back", but Darth Vader never actually says the line that way, exactly? What he said was, "No, I'm your father."

Well, my wife asked me to rip the scene for her to include in a lesson she's developing. A teacher she works with was apparently a little snotty while pointing out the common misstatement to her. So while all the other teachers will get the unedited version, I made a special version for the dissenter. Here it is, featuring my daughter as Luke's father:

(Edit: YouTube blocked my first video for suspected copyright infringement. I whittled it down to just the relevant bit.)

I just woke up from a nap. It has been so hot lately that Ive actually have been spending time downstairs instead of in my room. Too lazy to bring my PC downstairs, Ive actually been watching TV and fell asleep with the Kitten on my chest for a few hours. Its much cooler this evening.

THis kitten we found has (so far) been a little joy. Friendly, loving, playful and plays fetch. SHe hangs out with all of us and is very social and so far, shows no signs of being a schizo psycho kitty.
