When Windows 98 and 2000 were released they had these posh launch symposiums for IT folk, developers, etc. at a fancy hotel. Classes, workshops and tons of FREE STUFF. I didn't let the fact that my profession had no connection deter me. I manufactured a fictitious software firm called Wazoo Works Incorporated and registered (free). Showed up in my suit with my inkjet business cards for the fishbowls, ate free food, learned a bunch and came home loaded with expensive swag.

Before I was hired by Microsoft (2 months before the released of Windows 3.0) I was a Mac specialist. Apple had Microsoft's ... kicked all over the place as a usable computer but never was able to make it work in business other than for specialty areas like graphic design, printing, music, etc. When Win 95 came out, it did 90% of what the Mac did well but you weren't locked into their hardware. I left MS years ago but still use Windows. I agree Windows XP and Office XP was the best. Since then, it's just seemed like change for change sake. I built a computer a few months ago and put Win 8 on it. What a mistake! Win 8 may work great for tablets but it's not great for desktops. I put Start8 on it and use it in Windows Classic mode exclusively.

I will say this, if you don't have an SSD drive running Windows, it's worth the rebuild just to do it. Boot times of 10 seconds is amazing.

So what am I doing now? Just chilling after spending the day with my best friend shooting my dad's old Winchester Model 250 .22lr. It's a 50 year old gun and shoots just as well today as it did when he bought it. Some times, its fun to just pull out an old lever action and enjoy simple, reliable shooting.

I need to get that Start8 for my Mother's computer. I bought it, and she passed before I ever got around to setting it up. Not sure what I am going to do with that system. But, I know I don't want to deal with the Windows 8.

Nice gun! :)

Never heard of it, hows it like?

It has several layers of cotton together, and then rolled into a large roll. I unrolled a section, and cut it off to work with that piece for now. Then, I split the layers, and cut my little wicks from the splits. I am keeping that piece in a little plastic bag, so I don't have to deal with the whole roll each time. It is more dense. The cotton balls, I would tear them to make my wicks. This, lends itself to being cut. So far, it is wicking real nice. I think I will buy a box of this, for my local vape shop guy to try.

I just checked out the facebook page. Seems they have a lot of server down times. I wonder how the people are like.

My local vape shop guy belongs. He was saying, that there was a run of people on there talking about wanting ELAs. That is why he mentioned the forum to me.
