What are you doing with the money you save with e-cigs?

If you look at my signature below, you'll see I'm not really saving much with e-cigs. That's only because I wasn't spending much on analogs in the first place. For other members, the savings information in their signatures can be huge. Some people have been spending thousands of dollars a year on cigarettes. Ouch.

Anyway, every day I'm smoke free I put $5 in a jar on my kitchen counter. That represents the money I'll save each day plus my mental bonus for the value I'm adding to my life in terms of health and aesthetics (no cig stench, no burn holes in clothes/car seats, etc.)

When I've got enough in the jar, I'll buy myself the roundtrip ticket to England I've been putting on hold. After that, I will buy the new kayak I've promised myself....or....

Well, either that or first I'll do the thing my conscience tells me is right: Give money to the local hospital's cancer treatment center for their fund to buy stuff for patients that insurance won't pay for, such as some types of prosthetics (breast cancer patients), wigs, and various things that make each day a little more bearable. For all I know, stopping smoking analogs might have raised the odds that I'll never be in that treatment center as a patient.

I wonder if anyone else is setting aside the money they save for particular purposes. Believe me, it's a huge motivator seeing those $5 bills in that jar. After only a week and a half, it's starting to look like real money.

For the most part, I've been putting the money into other mods, having bought a screwdriver, two Janty Sticks, a Prodigy and a Silver Bullet. I'm satified now that if one or more of my devices crap-out I'm not going to stress about how to continue to vap or buy some tobacco.

I also have a couple of bottles of VG, a gallon of pg (and vodka is never a problem;)) and plenty of unflavored and tobacco flavored nic for DIY juice. So there is a significant savings on buying pre-made juice as well.

I love your idea of setting the money aside for cancer research and other projects. I'll start thinking about that myself.

After a 3 pack a day habit and ecigs 6 months I am not even in the red yet. I spend more on ecigs than I did on cigarettes. Of course I have enough to last a year. I think I will start putting the money in a jar and at l5.00 a day I should have enough to buy something real nice. I think I could pay my new car off earlyl.

My analog smoking habit had gotten to the point where it was costing me about $5,000 per year (!!!). Largely thanks to state and Federal taxes.

While I don't see myself spending nearly that much on PV's and supplies, in the near-term I'm not as much in the black as one would think. Finding that "perfect PV".. or the "perfect liquid".... and getting the "perfect accessories". That all creates a lot of expense and waste.

At this point I have spent a lot of money on new E-cigs and supplies. But I feel better about stocking up on the supplies just in case our lovely government gets any clever ideas.

Now if I could just quit buying new E-cigs!

Oh DAMM!!!!!!!! I just bought a Little Chuck!

SOMEBODY STOP ME, I AM OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
