.......I'll probably give TPA DRY4 another attempt, this time with added tobacco. All I get from it is a perfumey dessert smell, almost like some sort of Starbucks drink .............

TPA DRY4 needs a full four weeks of steep time imo. I usually mix at 10 percent for stand alone or 8 percent when mixing in other flavors. Mixed at about 5 percent I can vape a little of it fresh but not much.

My latest bottle was evidently from a bad batch. It's clear as water, doesn't have much smell, and tastes very weak. It doesn't sound like you have a bad batch, because at least you're smelling something, but you might want to read this thread, just in case you haven't seen it. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nging-weak-sauce-what-gives.html#post13939221

That thread doesn't help much in my situation, and my DRY4 has been steeping 3 weeks, and still hasn't gotten any better. I'm thinking it's just not the right flavor for me.

I posted in that other thread as well, but i am starting to think that they have changed the formula for that flavor, even though tfa says it wasn't,they get it from the manufactrer and resell it.I got the first bottle that was clear several months ago from another supplier, and then seen that thread, and thought the same thing,a bad batch.I just got a new bottle yesterday directly from tfa,and it's the same, actually the first one i had,it had a very faint golden color but looked mostly clear. This new one from tfa directly is absolutely crystal clear like water.I will give this one a while to steep,as it could just be a very fresh batch, but i'm thinking after getting 2 several months apart from each other, that it very well may be either a different manufacturer,or they have changed the formula for it.I can say though, the test batches i made from the first bottle, after steeping, are just a tiny bit weaker than what i was used to with the darker colored one,so another % or 2 would probably get it where it used to be.

Today was busy so didnt get to make anything. I have to make some plain vanilla to cut my rich tobacco with or I will be cleaning coils every other day. Wish I could find a clone for that because I love the flavor. I have 5 15 ml bottles of it left so with luck I will have found a decent tobacco recipe by then. Gandalf is good but dont know if its good enough to replace the old standby. Might just cut it once with some plain pg/vg and see how it taste.

Good to know. I know I've been afraid to reorder until I find out for sure what's going on. No amount of steeping could rescue the weak flavor I have.

Yeah,i hear ya,i don't think this clear version will ever get near as good as the other, but it's not completely bad,at least what i have anyway,so i'll use it up,but probably will not order it again.I just started getting into doing my own tobacco extractions,so i am going to try and come up with an ry4 from that.

Got a good bit accomplished today. Was cruising the .................. recipes (they got some good ones!) and found a recipe for a Tobacco Caramel Cream that sounded good.
Tobacco Caramel Cream
By Botboy141
All TFA flavors

RY4 Double 10%
Caramel 5%
Bavarian Cream 3%
Sweet Cream 2%
Brown Sug Extra .5%
3 weeks steep time required

I like creamy vapes so went ahead and made 5 30 ml batches of this but substitute on four of them with Caps Smooth Tobacco, Caps Bold tobacco, DIY Turkish, and DIY Holy Holy Grail RY4. I am hoping my ultrasonic cleaner will be here tomorrow and will be able to speed steep them a little.

Seeing how I used a lot of my base stock making those 5 30 ml bottles, I mixed up 2 120ml bottles of 50/50 10 mg base liquid for future mixing. Still have a good bit of the 60 mg nicotine liquid left. Finally got around to doing something with that liter of 100mg nicotine I ordered. Had two 250 ml amber bottles I poured some if it in and labeled them, then double bag them and placed them in the freezer. Now just have to order some some more amber glass bottles to freeze the rest of it.

What yall do today in the wonderful world of DIY?

I've been playing with TFA's clove flavor lately and learning how it mixes with tobacco flavors, for a change from my menthol tobacco ADV's. This is what I made today:

For 20 ml of finished liquid:
Hangsen Turkish {RTS} 9%
TFA Clove 3%
EM 1%
Inawera Dark Tobacco 12 drops
Inawera DNB Flavour 12 drops
-This is just awesome in a Magma wicked with cotton. Reminds me of those Djarum's I used to smoke 30 years ago. :)

I'll probably give TPA DRY4 another attempt, this time with added tobacco. All I get from it is a perfumey dessert smell, almost like some sort of Starbucks drink.

Hangsen Turkish Blend 5%
TPA Double RY4 7%

I'll probably give that a go, thinking 10% DRY4 is too much.

Gave that a go with an added 3% CAP Vanilla Custard for some more vanilla. Much better than my first attempt with RY4 and Turkish as a standalone, but still not where I want it. The tobacco flavor seems a little flat, I think it needs some more variation, but this is one of my first attempts with tobacco. I'm going to order some more tobacco flavors, and see if I can get this where I want it. Once I get the tobacco flavor right, I want to experiment with adding a small amount of peanut butter too.

Has anyone thought about using a cream base for a tobacco juice? Been looking at http://....................../threads/vanilla-cream-custard-by-botboy141.17482/ and thats a recipe for a cream where you add %10 or so plus a flavoring to make a juice like this.

Racist V0.1

Vanilla Cream Base (10%)
TPA Double Chocolate Clear (4%)
Caramel Candy (2%)

Wonder how well it would do for making a creamy tobacco E-juice. Same with using milkstone. e-Liquid Calculator :: DIY Milkstone or milkstone II e-Liquid Calculator :: DIY Milkstone 2.0

Just trying my mixed ejuice, after stepping for 3 days, and I like the result.
I need to mixing more VG for Feellife concentrated, it's too strong for my taste :)

Strawberry Mint

VG 60%
Feellife Concentrated, Wild Strawberry: 20%
Feellife Regular, Strong Mint: 17%
Migua essence: 3%

Inhale - mint, exhale - strawberry candy.

I really like Feellife Concentrated, I'm still get great flavor even I mix it with 60% VG :)

Well tonight I took your recipe Danny and measured out three 20 ml bottles. Added %3 Cap Strawberry to one of them, Added %3 Cap Juicy peach to another one and added %3 Cap Brownie to the last one. Then I gave them about a 40 minute hot water steep in a UC. Then I tried them each in a G5-H2 cartomizer. The Strawbery came out ok. A little light on the strawberry flavor but it is not a bad vape. The peach was ehhh. The flavor is off on it and maybe it just needs to steep longer. Kinda a fake candy flavor. Gonna let it sit for a week. The Brownie was outstanding! Smooth chocolate flavor that is very comparable to ITC Berserker. Its that good!
