I can relate to this one. Try to be helpful in one of these and you get sarcastic, snippy remarks or you get ignored. I just move on.

ecig clicks! Are you for real? We all know them groups. Threads that have the click. If you try to get in they act like you dont exist cause your trying to get that hard to find mod that they cant. Or maybe they have it but for whatever reason think you shouldn't.

Post in the outside and your a rabbit in a tigers cage. Doesn't matter how stupid someone sounds they are rite every time. Likes all around except for the guy that makes the most sense.

OK, this isn't a vaping pet hate... but related...
Repeated spamming type two page essays on the wonders of VV with graphs on watts and volts etc. and with at least 10 links to a certain YouTube video guy about how HE likes whatever tank or contraption (so it must be good)...
.....and further links by opposition on how to build your own mod, and someone else insisting on a $250 mod with such-and-such a battery and WHY (with further YouTube links to prove the point) topped with such-and-such a fancy glass tank.....

...all in response to a rank newbie asking about refilling a cartomizer on a Blue or Volt type mini ecig.

Then someone comes along and points out that the newbie was asking about (for eg.) a Volt. Then all hell breaks loose and the mods close the thread lol...

I have seen that kind of thing happening more times than I can count.

my biggest annoyance in "vaping" is the term "vaping"

I can't tell you how much I hate that term and never EVER unironically use it...I get chills when I see someone talking about how something vapes or how they love to vape this and vape that

    ugh...

So i am curious what you call it then?

I don't get how people can hate the word really. Its not like "...." or "dumb". Yep; My dumb is clouding the room at 4.2V. Just out of curiosity. Also since so many people hate the word. What would you folks call it otherwise? And don't say "Smoke".:D

Hey Mac. Finally run into you outside of YT. You where the subject of one or my pet hates. The juice reviews keep firing bombs at my inbox. Tastes is subjective! Im still a subscriber though. Much love brother. But I still wont watch a juice review.

    I echo this.

Thanks Bro. You know what thread I am talking about. Still bought that Mini though. Its #30 and should be here in two days. I heard crickets in the thread though. Is everyone in a trance or what. "Hate Striker; Get Zenesis"........ Ive had people notice and PM me about it. So sad.

You know what one of my pet hates is? These crazy overpriced vaping "mods" that people seem to wear like badges, "I paid $268 for my ProVari, so it must be the best thing in the world." All these fancy "mods"-- wait, I hate the way the word "mod" is thrown around for these mass produced big battery holders. Yes, that's what they are...battery holders, with a switch that puts out power that powers a heating coil coated in liquid, that creates a vapor. A "mod" is something that is crafted into something different than it's original purpose to serve another purpose. Like the Altoids mods. Or the old school "flashlight" battery mods of old.

Back to the fancy mods... They're just power supplies, people!! Some have variations that you can't even detect without an electrical engineering degree and a fancy oscilloscope. People bash one battery operated power supply over another. They get into arguments over which one is "better". And for what? Bragging rights? Heh, I bet the sellers of these devices love the debates, and arguments though. Negative publicity is just as effective in piquing interest as positive publicity. And hype hype hype!

Whatever keeps you off the nasty cancer sticks, is the best. I have been vaping (and there's nothing wrong with that term, imo) for over 3 years now, and I've tried so many different devices, batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, tanks, atomizers, liquids, etc etc over the years, and I really don't care much about what device may have the coolest looking wave on an oscilloscope... I just don't want to go back to smoking.

In the past 3 years, vaping has gotten so complex, it's ridiculous. It's become more akin to car modding and an enthusiast hobby than something to save lives. I've seen so many newbies coming here after seeing some fancy "mod" video review on YouTube, and buying a ProVari but not even understanding the basics, it just makes me want to rage and cry at the same time. It's so overwhelming to someone new, I imagine the "scene" has turned away lots of potential vapers, just because it's just too much conflicting information to sort through. And the fanboys/fangirls arguing over which device is the best, can't help either.

Oh boy, I hear you on that one. I suppose you could retort that head shops are legal but they provide stuff that made that other man eat someone's face off. Sheesh. Hey! There's an idea! - Let's just label everything "not for human consumption" and we can be legal and not victimized, just like the bath salt stores.

Today I had the 8000th person tell me about the guy in Florida who had his blow his face off. Thought of this thread. :)

@ Bizzy, that is why 'fancy mods' are no longer called 'mods' not for quite some time already, (although a lot of us sometimes forget and still call them 'mods'). They are now called PV's or APV's... And 'mods' are back to your common old garden variety, basement made mods: BoxMods, Altoids Mods, flashlight, electric toothbrush etc.

Took me a while to find it. I absolutely agree that taste is subjective, but I think if you can find people with a similar taste profile you will at least get an idea of whether you might enjoy the juice or not. I have noticed reviewers (myself included) taking more than one shot in this thread...maybe i will just stay out of here ;)

I hate asking if something is good. One item is never the exact same as another. What works for you does not work for me unless its a Provari!!!

I also hate having to Sub to a fellow vapers YT channel to return the favor, when they only post reviews of juice. No matter what you say about a juice I will never be able to figure if I like it or not. Get over the Juice reviews. I only have one posted juice review. Id say 90ml of free juice is worth pissing people off once in a while. But if your entire channel is flavor reviews, then get a clue!!!

Well, that is the whole reason for the channel is reviews of juice and hardware, so I am not sure what you expect, I am not going to put videos of my cat chasing its tail on there ;) Sure I get a bunch of free juice, but believe it or not, I don't do it for "free stuff" I enjoy doing the reviews and lots of other folks enjoy watching them, I certainly enjoy watching others reviews, and most of the juice i get I give away to the folks I work with or folks that are starting out and need some options. As far as pissing people off with the emails that are sent out, just click the unsubscribe button, I will not be offended :) I am not trying to make anyone mad, I am just trying to inform and entertain. Not trying to come off as an a** here but I don't have the thickest skin in the world, just a thick skull sometimes :D

OK, I'm calm again. lol. Here's a peeve ... I go to my mail box and pick up the most briliant advanced Gruntmaster 3000 clearomizer ..... check out the ECF posts and read, "WOW! Have y'all tried the new Gruntmaster 4000 clearomizer, - which fixes all the problems of the GM 3000- yet??"

    Lol! That's hysterical!
P.S. I always suspected that I had boiling blood (could be related to my dragon ancestors) but now I am SURE, since I ALWAYS vape 36- er.

(P.S. ....not sure what the '-er' stands' for, but pretty cool, so I'm stealing it :D).

A lot of vendors need to get the memo then, because quite a few have big battery APV devices etc, under the "mods" category.

I'm with you bizzyb0t, as far as the APV/mod thing. After reading through several "mine is better than yours" threads, I just have to wonder what gets some folks so upset that they feel the need to insult or abuse each other over something as inconsequential as a vaping device. Point out or post just about anything in one of those threads and, next thing you know, you get dragged into some silly flame war. Unknowingly treading on someone's sacred cow and suddenly you get accused of just about anything from being a troll to a pathological liar looking to start trouble.

-Atomizers that taste of anything except my E-liquid of choice. Has "primer fluid" been debunked as an excuse for that taste, or is it just industrial grease? I would gladly pay extra for pre-cleaned atomizers that are usable immediately.

-The fact that there are many more vaping review videos than written reviews. I prefer to read, and I don't always have a mobile data connection to watch videos.

-Certain posters on this and other forums who assume that we all possess high levels of technical knowledge. Let's say someone asks a question such as; my device/carto/tank/etc is not working, is there an easy way to find out what is wrong and fix it? Inevitably, a reply will come back shortly:

I may not have the words exactly right, but I 'm sure you know who I'm talking about.
    :glare:
