A Presentation box shows a company's respect for their product and their customer base. What the customer chooses to do with it, is the customers decision.
At least you got a box with your Omega.:D

My decision to get it, my reaction, and everything else would have been unaffected if I hadn't gotten it. The only reason I could think of that you'd want a box is if you're a collector who isn't going to put it on right away, but if you're a collector, you have other Jewelry/display boxes at home.

The only thing I really care about presentation for is laptops, and honestly……that's 100% about protecting the screen from damage during shipping. I don't care what it looks like so long as it's really well built.

And bubble wrap will protect it better than folded cardboard.

Ok, here's a few so far.

The smug notion that someone getting into vaping has to go through some rite of passage and spend money on 'starter' kits. I personally thank the provari owners for thier comments and insights that saved me several hundreds of dollars, and made my switch to vaping effortless and enjoyable. People asking for advice should be presented with options and information, not a 'generic' canned "get this".

Elitists that think people new to vaping must 'learn' with entry level inexpensive kit, because the more advanced kit is beyond thier comprehension, then recommend they also get the latest new rebuildable tank for thier ego.... However, I will acknowlege that sometimes people seem to have an IQ only slightly higher than a carrot. ...............

I'm not sure why you want to label people "smug" and "elitists" & "carrot" brains for having a different opinion than you! but it did make me laugh because what I have seen happen in the forum since I joined is people telling newbies who come asking for a cig like PV to forget that and jump into a mod. when I joined the joye510 and ego were the most recommended. so I see just the opposite of what you see  and I think newbies should know about the cig-like starters and the mods so they can make their own decisions. although I can only imagine what you will think of it, I still use my joye510 and egos. and I like them, and don't plan to change any time soon.

.....................

Part of me really wishes that the legit sellers would stop carrying cig-a-likes and just say "our stuff is better, so we don't sell the garbage."

.........................

When I bought my Omega Seamaster (years ago), it came in a nice, expensive-looking (possibly imitation) leather presentation box with a bunch of papers, a certificate of authenticity, and a bunch of other crap. You know how it was delivered to me? The jeweler handed it to me, I put it on, and then he handed me a bag containing the box. It was like a week before I figured I should probably look at it. I did, then I promptly lost it. If I ever buy another nice watch, I'll probably just have them throw away the packaging for me and save the middle man……assuming I don't wear my other nice watch to pick it up. ...................................
I'm seriously considering seeing if I can get some unflavored VG because something tells me I won't get sick of it.

what I use to vape is not garbage and I appreciate vendors who give their customers a choice.

packaging. if I spend 300.00 on something I expect a nice package. I happen to have all my boxes that my ecigs came in. some people keep, some people toss. why should we all be the same?

I vape unflavored (6mg nic) as a daily vape and I really like it and I never get tired of it

my pet peeves: when opinions are presented as facts
when I like a cart/carto, whatever, that no one else does and I start to have a hard time finding it

People who call their Provari a "mod" because it is variable voltage. All of the sudden the eGo Twist is a mod!

In order to be a mod, it is something modified from its original design by people who are way more talented than I am. It sort of demeans these people with ingenuity by calling something specifically built as a PV a mod. You can modify something by adding a kick, but since the Provari doesn't need that, once again, it is presumptuous to call it "modded".

That's a hard one. I mean the twist was modified to be VV. If you talked to the designer that's probably the term he or she would use to describe the change from its original design. In my mind they are all mods. Modified cancer stick's. Otherwise if you get a vendor bought mod or pv, and mod it yourself I would refer to that as a personal modification, or personal modifications.

I dont mean to change your mind, that's not my place. That's just the other side of the coin. :toast:

My biggest pet hate right now is the mail is sooooooooo freakin slow...:)

Of course I'm a right wing nut job.....I believe in personal responsibility, NOT government responsibility...:)

New pet peeve - being exposed to politics when I'd rather just talk about vaping.

(Isn't there a separate forum here for the discussion of politics?)

Sitting down, facing forward.
I've got a new one....Vendors that announce the latest version of some product is coming out "soon". Then "soon" turns out to be a matter of weeks or more. Then, once the product does actually become available for sale, it is only in one specific combination, as in thread, resistance, capacity, color or whatever. Do us all a favor.....KEEP IT ALL SECRET UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY HAVE A FULL RANGE OF YOUR WONDERFUL NEW PRODUCT IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP! Then, of course, supply a product that lives up to at least half of the hype you've given it.

Sent from my Etch-A-Sketch using gum wrappers, pennies and lemon juice for power with a paperclip for an antenna.

As someone who modifies toys and secondlife avatars, this confused me as well. But then i decided that it's become sort of an over used and misapplied term, ala rebuildable, indie, eclectic, steampunk, organic, pure, oil free, fat free, sugar free, forever ad nauseum

Brushing some opalescent nail polish over my engraved kgo makes it more of a mod IMHO. But it doesn't bother me enough to turn a lash, personally.

Agreed. All those terms have specific meanings. indie = independent (usually referring to music labels, not genres), organic = containing carbon, steampunk = "eurotrash of dorkdom", etc..

"Mod", however, is short for "modified" or "modification" or something………at first I thought it was short for "modern"……meaning post-cig-a-like. I realized quickly that I was wrong, but I guess that along made me just not worry about it.

I came here expecting to see what your talented dog dislikes :(

My dog likes my VMax, but he prefers cartos in tanks to the Vivi Nova. He is soooooo stoooopid.

*****

OK, on topic - I think I've said this one before, but here it goes again - people who have been spending $3,000+ a year on cigarettes agonizing over things like whether to spend an extra $14 so they'll have two Vivi Novas as opposed to one when they're just starting out.

A friend who won't give up the stinkies because he's sceptical about e-cigs always needles me about vaping. The latest thing he asked was 'Did you see the news reports about the e-cig that blew up in a man's face?'. Arrrgh.

I know! They heard a report about ONE. They haven't heard how many thousands of people are healthier now that they're not smoking the stinkies!
