A friend who won't give up the stinkies because he's sceptical about e-cigs always needles me about vaping. The latest thing he asked was 'Did you see the news reports about the e-cig that blew up in a man's face?'. Arrrgh.

s4a, thanks for bringing this one back up; it's a doozy. I would love to see the human race become more logical, and get a handle on the laws of probability, and other handy tools for deciding which end is up, and which courses of action make sense, and which ones don't.

How about "Gee, did you see the news report about the 400,000 people who died from smoking last year just in the United States"?

I cringe for the future of this world.

Probably mentioned numerous times but to get my pet peeves on record:
- Those who feel the need to post in someone's classified ad complaining about the asking price or where the item for sale can be purchased cheaper. The asking price is the asking price. If your not interested or feel the asking price is too high, don't buy the item. You are not protecting the uninformed-you are a thread crapper. If the "unsuspecting newbie" you are trying to keep from getting ripped off cannot research their potential purchase, they either should not be buying in the classies or they should learn about the wonderful wealth of knowledge and information available to them via their keyboard and internet connection.

-The whole "My APV is the one true APV "thing. One such example is when someone is asking about a Lavatube and the ProVari disciples rush in with the "Just get a Provari, everything else is junk" spiel. It's irritating and doesn't contribute to the discussion.(BTW,I have and like my ProVari. A lot. I just think if commenting in a thread, the topic being discussed should be adhered to .

- Anyone knocking a mod or APV they have no experience using. I've seen this a lot about the ProVari's menu system. If you have or have had one and don't care for it,fine . You are offering input. Let's be real, the menu system on the ProVari is not rocket science or brain surgery.

The light on the end of e cigs niggles me. I have a blue light. I feel like a beacon if i am vaping in a dark room and when driving and vaping i am sure people must think I am a police car. I only thank God it is not a red light, as I do vape in my bedroom and the neighbours may get the wrong idea.

LMAO! I can't tell you how many times I've been driving home from work at 11:30pm and thought the very same thing!

Liquid being called E-JUICE or E-LIQUID!! THERE IS NOTHING ELECTRONIC ABOUT THE FREKIN JUICE!!

Now tell us how you really feel about this. :)

I mainly just wanted to plaster this post all over this page cuz it's so awesomely emphatic and visually striking, but I also want to pose a question that this peeve seems bring up ......

If not "e-liquid" or "e-juice", what should it be called?

"Vape lotion"?
"Nic squeezin's"?
"Atty tonic"?
"Herbie"?

Anyone?

*****

I'm kinda likin' "joose".

I always just assumed E-Liquid was a hyphenated form for "e-cigarette liquid"

When an e-cig company... not to name any **COUGH** Blu **COUGH** markets their new product as "the best transition device for any smoker into the world of e-cigs"... Not just annoying, a good way to waste your money. Those little cigarette sized e-cigs are crap for any moderate-heavy smoker... unless of course you want to carry 20 of them with you... and good luck organizing them so you know which are dead....

on this forum saying something negative about the sellers price is against the rules. so IF it happens, you can report it (click the little triangle with the ! in it at the bottom of the message) not that most people actually read the rules, but still I almost never see it in this forum.

I'm kinda digging "joose" Hey vaporbomb, joose me wouldja? Yeah, I like it.

a while back there was a discussion about what to call eliquid. joose, juice were ones that parents didn't like since kids usually drink "juice" not "liquid" and they didn't want kids to associate eliquid with Juice.

People that come out of a restaurant , look at me , and start coughing.
People that say I didn't quit smoking.
People that call this an "electronic cigarette". It's not
People that say that nicotine causes cancer.

I love you =D haha... I can't wait to encounter numbers 1, 2 and 4... number 3 will just result in me giving a long lecture =D

People who can't leave well enough alone. I was at the flea market yesterday to get some liquid from the local shop and this girl walks past. Her boyfriend or whatever suggests she goes in there and has a look. She made a big scene about having apparently seen someone using one and they were coughing like crazy, so she'd NEVER use one of those. First off... you're a ...... Second, if you don't want one, don't stand in front of someone else's business and make a big yelling scene about the product. This is someone's lively-hood, whether you like it or not.

Yeah, I see more and more of that (not vaping related, just in general) as time goes on. I guess some people exist just to be a PITA for someone else.

I'm saying this for the second time in as many days .... "If only 'stupid' were excruciatingly painful".

No, I don't really wish that on anyone, and yes, if I'd been born with someone else's DNA and had had the same life experiences, I can't see how I'd be making much sense either ... so what's needed IMO is forgiveness, patience, and gentle education. The truth about vaping will eventually displace much of the existing ignorance, and lives will be saved at an ever-increasing rate. In the meantime, I think it's important that we be kind to the uninformed so we'll have a better chance of getting through to them. Mahatma Gandhi had a wonderful philosophy about dealing with would-be adversaries, and how to turn them into allies; Rule #1 was not to alienate them. Good advice, I think.

Pet peeve - Picking up a bunch of juice at the PO and wishing you'd had the good sense to ask them to also send another couple of Vivi Novas for the new flavors that smell soooooo good.
