Math story problems:
Julie vapes 24mg/ml and Cody vapes 12mg/ml. They split a 30ml bottle of juice. Julie wants to up the nicotine in her 15ml from 12 to 24 with 45mg/ml nicotine on hand. How much does she add?
I know there are juice-making formulation models online but I still wanted to try this the old fashioned way. I asked a PHD math professor friend to solve it for me (side-bar for him during a Scrabble game - living fast and hard). He wrote out the equation and then said "now just solve for X". "How do I do that?" "It's a basic quadratic equation". I haven't solved a quadratic equation since 1987. Yay for the internet and Excel.
