Man, do I agree with the second one! However, I DO like to introduce my smoker friends to vaping, so I've taken to always carrying a few of those little sealed alcohol swab packets (you can pick them up at any pharmacy; about $1-$2 for a box of 100; they're like moistened towelettes you get at the rib joints, only with alcohol instead of hand cleaner). Then, if someone want to try a drag, I just wipe off the mouthpiece with one of those little alcohol swabs—usually with some line like, "Here, you don't want my germs." That way the mooch won't be insulted when you use the same swab to wipe off the mouthpiece when you take it back ...

EC blends has these neat little "safety" tips for a quarter each if you guys find yourself in this situation often.

ECF Pet Peeve: Threads that won't die (that I posted in as an ECF noob trying to get my post count up) that keep coming up in my "My Posts" list. I know, I know, it's only a minor annoyance, but is there any way to block those out? It seems like every time I check to see what's new, the first thing is "What Flavor Are You vaping Right Now?" I'm completely comfortable knowing that people all over the world are vaping different flavors as we speak, and I don't think I'll ever go through and read all 500+ pages.

Don't they come off if you unsubscribe? I'll be honest - I do not know if they do or not. But now, I'm surely going to try it out!

I'm not actually subscribed to it and it's not in my subscribed threads -- it was just something I posted in a while back so it keeps coming up under What's New > My Posts. I haven't found any way to get rid of it. Like I say, not losing any sleep over it or anything, but hits my peeve button nonetheless.

falling victim to random flooding of cartos after consuming between 5-10mls. i know they have a better longevity than that, and it appears the tank is fully sealed. also, when this happens to two tanks filled just within the past couple of days.
all that's left for filled tanks is a tobacco flavor i have a marginal opinion of. only 2mls left in the vmod xl. the spare tank? waiting to be cleaned.
oh i should also add that the only liquid i have more than only a few mls of i used to love, but am now not crazy for it at all.
guh. love lazy dilemmas like these.

I like those "Whatcha vapin'?" threads because they're a treasure trove of info on what I think is a critically important part of vaping; the most critical part really, once you have some decent hardware - namely; the juice. That's pretty much what it's all about. Provari V2 + great attachment + schwag juice = this sucks.

It's a goal of mine to go through those threads (or pay someone to) and put all of that valuable information into a readily-digestible form - like a nice, simple table ordered from most to least mentions - so that anyone - just starting out, "veteran", or anyone in between - can see what other people like. If they're looking for a green apple, which green apple gets mentioned the most - or any other flavor. When I do it, I'll post the results in each of those threads, and/or elsewhere. Not sayin' when, just that I will.

Speaking of decent hardware, I'm still using the Joyetech eGo-C Twist and Vivi Nova 3.5ml version 2.5 exclusively, and am glad that Smoktech VMax's don't have feelings. Nope, the battery life isn't worth much of a crap, but by having three of them, it's a non-issue. And after a month, I haven't had to do anything to the Vivi except fill it up.

Ooh, glad I mentioned that, because it'll get me squarely "on-topic". Pet vaping peeve - anyone who says that using an Ego-C Twist with a Vivi Nova tank will be "too confusing" for a beginner. If that's the case, then god help us all, 'cause we're screwed.

Now that I'm on a roll, another pet peeve; those who advocate for fixed voltage (often the excellent fixed-voltage kGo, or the excellent ciggie look-alike fixed-voltage Volt) because "you don't need variable voltage". Nor do you "need" dimmer switches, bass/treble controls, or a light-medium-dark knob on a toaster, but they're all very nice to have; and anything that increases the enjoyment of vaping seems to me to be life-saving - something I'm big on.

Lastly, a big shout-out to awsum140, who has provided the perfect answer to everyone who asks me what that thing is hanging around my neck. "Why, it's a P.E.N.I.S., of course; a Personal Electronic Nicotine Infusion System. Try sucking on one, you just might like it".

(Oh well, my first post in 25 days might be my last ever, which would bring up another pet peeve of mine, which I won't mention).

I can't take credit for that one, I saw it somewhere else, either in this thread or another, and for some strange reason it stuck with me and seems worth repeating every once in a while.

I think the strange reason is that it's AWESOME (how fitting :)). Also insanely clever, and I wish to hell I'd thought it up. And I LOVE your dog! What a cutie!! Kinda lookin' like he wants "in", but nothin' like a little South Jersey snow to make a pooch better appreciate a warm, cozy bed, right? :)

OK, this isn't a vaping pet peeve, but it's a peeve nonetheless; anyone who doesn't LOVE dogs, or any other animal. Some people don't even think WE'RE animals. (?!) What the heck are we then - vegetable? Mineral? Sheesh, don't get me started.

Come to think of it, maybe Meli really was spot-on in this assessment, which might or might not have been aimed in "my general DIE-rection", like a French fart of note:

"Humour Malfunction:

this condition is more common amongst the grumpy, tired and irrationally angry sects of society, with the most common manifestation being women and men who are suffering from the effects of not having had a good seeing to in a long time".

It's worth a shot, and I'll report back on whether or not a "good seeing-to" has any appreciable impact on my general outlook. It can't hurt, right? (Well, maybe when I pee LOLOL).

OK, I should just leave now of my own volition. :) Bye all, it's been fun! :)

Vape it like you stole it, and PARTY ON!!!

I'm not surprised that it dates back that far, but it sure as heck makes for a good laugh in a lot of cases, like "What is that thing you're smoking?" when asked in a sarcastic voice as they look down their noses.

That's Bo as a pup, about 3 months old. He's a little bigger now, 160 pounds, but still gets that "I want in look", he's a people dog.

I think this is the first time that one was brought up... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...rto-atty-ordering-thread-221.html#post2613733

EDIT: nvm, that acronym has references all the way back to 2009...

I don't think I'm going to ever attempt humor again. I haven't even read that thread (new pet peeve - subscribing to a thread and it fills up a perfectly good 2TB drive), but it took a mere 4-5 posts to realize that I am not worthy, and never will be.

I hope to have time in the near future to read about all of the possible (hilariously, mind-blowingly) comedic combinations and permutations inherent in the (safe and judicious) use of the Personal Electronic Nicotine I[nhalator] System, the Armageddon Nicotine Use System, and the indispensible Tubing Inlet Tank. Decorum, good sense, and good old-fashioned fear preclude me from exploring such possibilities here.

I do love this place, and I do love vapers in general, who are generally and inherently intelligent, witty, fun, and just plain love life, as evidenced by the ability to recognize that vaping beats the living hell out of smoking, and will, as just one of the many benefits, add many fun-filled years to life with which to enjoy the company, wit, and joy for life of like-minded people.

I salute you all, and lets all keep up our efforts to help others stop killing themselves, and start enjoying life more fully. Cancer, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, burned couches, sick kids, yellow teeth, gray skin, smelly clothes, fingers, hair, cars and houses, and a grimly fatalistic outlook on life ain't the way.

Further reading, if you dare:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/kick-bass-vapor/214959-kbv-novella-complete-unabridged.html

Please remember to forgive everybody, and enjoy your vape, no matter what it is, or what it's on.

my new pet hate are vapers (reviewers mostly) that seem to get bent outta shape because they have to tip a CE style carto to wet the wick. seriously? a simple 1 second tipping of your rig makes you abandon a great system? come on! do you guys vape completely vertical all the time? Cig smokers don't even smoke vertical. I just don't get it. The natural position I see for all vapers is slightly less than horizontal. Vaping completely vertical looks like your drinking a thick milkshake and honestly makes you look more stupid.

Oh dear..., *sigh* John, really? I had a few peeves, I expressed them, I still stand by them.
If you feel they were die-rected at you, my only comment would be: If the Cap Fits....:D
I still feel that some people have had their humour surgically removed, it would be good if people didn't take themselves so seriously. After all, we are all on the same team, even if we don't agree on the minutiae.

In regards to One getting 'a good seeing to', well that's no topic for conversation here, here we only discuss pet hates & peeves, Feel Good Factors are Expressly Prohibited.:D Unless One is vaping at the time and something goes Horribly wrong with One's Personal Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System.
:D
