Maybe this belongs in a more political section of the forum, but it annoys me
The media - we have a group in NH (breathnh) who tried to ban ecigs because of their attractiveness to kids(think flavored cigars, nic sodas, nic gums, etc.) ecigs a gateway? They had a small victory (rightly so) in that a law was passed prohibiting sales to minors.
IMHO kids aren't gonna shell $15 out for a disposable that advertises itself as equal to a pack when a pack is only $6, unless they are current/former smokers. Never mind the prohibitive cost of a complete setup, even at a gas station. Yeah stinkies are cheap here. I guess that makes us lucky.
We know kids get into all sorts of trouble, despite parents and adults best efforts and intentions like 18 + laws and parental guidance. Parents are on a constant tightrope trying raise their family while allowing for self-expression so vital to youths maturing. Kids still get their hands on dangerous/illegal substances because so-called adults are willing to skirt the law. i would applaud a minor, who finds themselves addicted to the stinkies who then makes the decision to switch to ecigs. Don't get me wrong, it's still a problem, but punishing the 95% of us who are law abiding...
It's just absurd...

Fast becoming my biggest thread reading peeve: sentences that contain I Thought... or, I Assumed....

I was schooled at a Convent for both primary & high school, whilst at primary, Sister Thaddaeus an ancient Irish nun who still sparks Fear in the hearts of All taught by her, would often say: "You Thought? Thought? Thought Forgot to Think! Think Child! Think!"
Going on to high school, Sister Mary (didn't own a Canary) a younger less traditional nun would often say "Assumption my Dear is the Mother of All ***k Up's! Use the head God gave you Think, Research, Question, but Never Assume! Anything!

Never have those words rung louder than whilst reading some posts..

At first blush, I must say that I was right on board with mostapha's observation, but on further reflection, and in defense of my longtime friend Eric, "Southpark" is pretty much not for little kids, most of whom wouldn't get even 1% of the humor.

Have you ever seen south park? The observation wasn't about the fact that it's a cartoon, a misguided notion that anyone under the age of about 14 should know it exists, or anything to do with reality………

It was about the character Butters. When a normal person would swear, he says "Hamburgers." When he decided to become a super-villian and take over the world, his plan was to flood everything so people would drown and be forced to beg him for help……which he "did" by leaving a garden hose running. At some point he got sent to a "pray away the gay facility". He's completely straight, but he didn't know what the term "bi-sexual" meant, so when someone called him it, he just assumed they were right. And by the end of the episode he ended up marking an impassioned speech about how his being bisxexual and also being made in God's image implied that got was a little bi-sexual too………still without knowing what bi-sexual meant.

It's not because it's a cartoon.

It's because it's butters.

(p.s., Butters is awesome. In addition to being awesome, he's also Trey Parker & Matt Stone's favorite character.)

Get a Young June Lavatube. It's half the price and does the same thing. Yes, the Provari is the cadillac, but the YJ LT is a fine mod too and wont break the bank.

In all honesty, a Twist or Spinner does essentially the same thing, it's just pickier about the resistance of the thing you put on it.

Diminishing returns kicks in pretty early. And I think that happens about with the Twist/Spinner……anything more seems to be just because you want it rather than because you need it. And I say that as someone who's ordering a Provari later today (i'm just deciding whether to over-pay provape for batteries or get them and a better charger somewhere else).

Going on to high school, Sister Mary (didn't own a Canary) a younger less traditional nun would often say "Assumption my Dear is the Mother of All ***k Up's!

Sounds awesome.

A Spinner kit will cost close to the same as a YJ LT kit. And the bats in the LT kit are 2200mah...much larger than any Twist or Spinner. Also, when you go to replace the bats, they cost $10 each. When you go to replace a Twist, they're $25 - $35 a piece.

When I ordered my mini I bought my batteries from RTDvapor.com. They have the Xtar and Pila chargers as well, and they take PayPal.

I already had an Xtar, so I just bought 4 18490 batteries.

It still seems to me that there's plenty of room in anyone's vaping arsenal for a "fancier" and larger device like a Lavatube variant, or a ZMax, ProVari, Buzz Pro, Reo VV, or a crapload of others and a setup that includes VV eGo-class power units like Spinners, Twists, kGo VV's, and the like, maybe with a couple of Vivi Novas.

I just really don't think that any one device is going to fit the bill for all situations, although I do think that an eGo-class setup would be all-around more versatile. I love having mine on a lanyard, where my Twist and Nova have resided for the last two months or so.

And I really think that the more compact a setup (power unit and attachment) is, the less likely someone might be to attempt to copulate with it, or be intimidated by it. I really don't think we want to scare anyone away, or confuse them, especially when they're just starting out.

I've been vaping since sometime last August. (Took a hiatus for a few months at about the 3-4 month mark because I wasn't stocked and prepared for the stress of family going into the hospital and passing)..... but yeah, basically I'm a year into gear. I have all 3 classes sitting on my nightstand at any given time. My Zenesis Mini which is my preccccccioussssss. I use that anywhere it's practical to. I won't take it to a rowdy bar, but will take it to a friends house or out on the deck for a nice fire, good book, and a vape. I have Smokeless Image X2s (ego sized 808s), I prefer the 650mah size with their nano bottom coil clearo, or their version of the stardust. Cigar sized, portable, regulated 3.6-3.7v. My last puff is just as good as my first puff, and I'm used to the voltage. I also have the 78mm 808s. I through a nano or a carto on those for those times I want to be more discrete or with jewel capped colored chicness for an event. (Gotta make sure your PV matches your shoes or purse ya know).

Anywhooooo..... I recommend the Twists and Spinners to everyone I've converted, because it gives them the best chance to find the sweet spot with a given atty, carto, clearo, etc.... I'll probably be replacing at least 2 of my X2s with one or the other when the time comes. None of my gear now is VV..... although it's irrelevant to be with the Zen, I can adjust my coil to chance the resistance and get the same result.... but for someone new, turning a dial would be a hell of a lot simpler to learn.

My peeve for the day..... when the bottles I've transferred juice into lose their labels. I have no idea what this very yummy juice is right now. :vapor:

When some person starts a thread asking for advice on equipment and start off by saying "I don't have much money...."

Someone then posts "you need a Provari (with some unobtanium Genesis tank). The Provari faithful then explain you will SAVE money in the long run.

Kind of like when my window installer explained I will actually MAKE money installing their $12,000 windows.

When there's a new e-cig that gets great reviews, everyone likes it but I get one that is faulty. I go online to post about it and people respond 'Don't know what you are talking about. I've not had a single issue with mine'. HMMPH. GUESS I'M JUST INSANE THEN.

Word. That happened to me when i ordered my first three vivi novas. I saw the reviews online. They looked great. Out of the ones i ordered all three had issues to the point where they were unusable. I talked to the vendor and they said "problems with the vivi's are extremely rare" and that "they could see one of them having a problem, but all three?" I sent them back and once they looked at them they agreed with me and sent me three new ones. lol

Juice reviews that describe a juice as sooooo aweful they needed an ambulance to get emergency medical treatment to their tastebuds and fumigate the house to get rid of the smell.

Then after all that they let the juice steep 2 hours and then its the most amazing juice they have ever vaped.

A pet peeve I just discovered is when I have broiled chicken with corn and parsley potatoes for dinner...vaping while eating (very gauche, but no one else was at the table with me). Enjoyed it. Blew off more steam after dinner. Cleaned up and took my rig back to bed to vape and read before I went to sleep. Took a toke...and my juice tasted funny. Weird. Same juice I'd used all day. Same juice I use all the time. I MAKE the stuff, dammit! What is wrong! I thought maybe the toothpaste I used was messing with my tastebuds. Drank a cup of milk and rinsed out real good with hot water. Didn't help. Okay..so what gives? I suffered with weird tasting vape for a bit...then gave up and went to bed. I was using a brand new GOOD cartomizer that I'd just put on my mod earlier that evening. I was sure it wasn't the EMSCC.

Next morning I figure..okay fine. Tastebuds have rested. Things will be fine. But....NOT. Ugh. What on earth???? Then a little light went on. I pulled off the tip that was on the EMSCC and put on another one. Tried again. Everything was fine. Hunkydory. Perfect. HA!!! Apparently some of my dinner dribbles had gotten into the tip...and it was making my vape taste odd!! Whodathunkit?

Hate it when that happens!

Use some masking tape and a sharpie if your labels fall off.

I use that clear packing tape over my homemade labels.
