Love my coppers but don't like getting green hands. Instead of putting some kind of clear coat on it I noticed I had some dry bamboo that was just about the right size to make a sleeve. The only real change to the original copper mod is that I pulled the battery connector and inserted it through the bamboo node and into the hidden copper cap. That node also makes a nice juice trap. It's coated in diluted epoxy. After seeing it together I think it needs some kind of banding to hide that line.

I finished 2 tonight. On the left is a 9 led flashlight mod.

That is looking very nice. I might have to try something like that out. I have a bunch of bamboo laying around from other projects. Maybe if you didnt want the line to show, you could make one where the knot in the bamboo is where you cut it.

The bottom comes off for battery access. I glued the copper cap inside of that small section. I think what I'm going to do is get some larger diameter bamboo and cut a ring off, sand and shape, then epoxy that to either the top or bottom section.

DO NOTHING!!! it is perfect just as is... don't ruin it by over thinking it!
