Hello all,
I'm fairly new to vaping so I will pose my question to the giant brain that is ECF. I have an ego and all is going well so far. I bought several CE5's and I like them quite a bit but I don't have any history with clearos so I have nothing to compare them to. One of my CE5's is leaking and I will post in the tech forum to try and solve that issue. The other CE5's are great. I want to try something else just to get some experience. I like the size of the CE5 and don't want to get much bigger. I may try the vivi nova later but it's a little bug for my taste. I bought 4 CE5's and one has failed. That a 25% failure rate. Is that normal? Any suggestions on a better clearo about the same size?

I've tried the smoktek DCT tanks and found the flavor and vaper to be great. The downside is that the tank can slip up and down on the carto. I have yet to have one leak, but it's a possibility.

I'm currently using the Vivi Nova Mini 2.5ml on my Provari. Its thin profile fits perfectly with the size of the Provari body. Lots of people are using them on the eGo-C Twist, which is a variable voltage mod that covers 3.2 to 4.8v.

I'm a long time Boge carto user who started looking for alternatives when Boge QC went South.

I prefer these to the clearos on my ego

Joyetech eGo-C Trial Kit - 1 Head, 1 Body, 5 Cartridges - MyFreedomSmokes.com

THe type A and B are really the same other than the shape and amount they hold. After buying the upgrade you dont need to buy the cone etc again, just the type a or b atties depending what you pick, and maybe tanks as time goes on. As a side note be sure to leave like 10% of the tank empty if you got this kit when filling, as a full tank seems to not flow and burn your wicks =) Also make sure you presoak that atty wick with a few drops to get it going, so you dont burn it from the get go!

How about a freight train full of bricks??

I like the CE5 / Stardust, and have only had issues with one out of about 10. (Well, two, as I dropped and cracked one, but that's not their QC, it's my FQ [Fumble Quotient])

Just recently tried a Mini Vivi, and on it's second filling it decided to leak like a colander. Down through the center post, so that may have been me as well, just haven't gone back to try again yet.

And the Vision Nano, if you don't mind a smaller amount of juice (they take only about 1 ml) is really nice. They're about the size of a carto, but clear. Disposable (after numerous fillings, of course) like cartos, too, not re-coilable. But inexpensive, and unlike cartos you get to see how much juice remains.

If you want really clean flavor go rebuildable. If you don't wanna try rebuildable yet, get a bridgeless atty from Empire here:

LR Atomizers

Empire makes the best bridgless attys in the known and unknown universe. Period.

They are sooo awesome. I do exclusively rebuildables now, but if I ever bought a pre-made it would only be from Empire Mods.
