My mancave
Just placed my order at Vivid Smoke:

  • hcigar kayfun 3.1 Clone (Polished, to match my Supreme)
  • Kanger Protank 3 (Clear)
  • 3' Kanthal A-1 32g AWG Wire
  • 3' 2mm Silica Wick
  • 3 x Black Translucent Plastic Drip Tips
$84.44 with free shipping.

The HCigar Kayfun comes with a few things that are missing in some or most of the other KF clone kits that I've seen. Most kits include both the polypropylene and stainless tank bodies and a small bit of Kanthal and silica wick material for building the coil. But the zippered carrying case and the 510 drip tip adapter which are included with the HCigar clone aren't with most other kits.

The 510 drip tip adapter was especially important to me as I HATE metal drip tips. I like the way the chrome tip on my PT2 looks, for instance, but I quickly replaced it with the black Delrin tip I received on my SmokTech DCT kit. It looks quite nice on the PT2 when it's parked on my black SLB eGo-V, in fact. The eGo-V / PT2 / black Delrin DT have become my standard portable rig. I intend to replace the PT2 with the PT3, assuming I prefer the PT3, which I predict I will as I've been gravitating toward dual-coil heads.

I was reluctant at first, as I prefer to vape my MBV Black Ice at low voltage and medium-to-high resistance. But thanks to you ECFers teaching me that parallel dual-coils mean I can run a bit more power/voltage through the same final resistance and get more flavor and vapor without burning my favorite electric juice, I've learned a better way to vape.

:)

And I've been "migrating" my only non-metal 510 drip tip back and forth all over the place as it's come to be my favorite for size, shape and material, which is why I've ordered three more that are almost identical to it so that each of my toppers, including the KF, can have its own.

(I realize it may be sacrilege to put a $2 plastic drip tip on a Kayfun. Maybe I'll figure out a way to hide it with my thumb if I ever go to a vape meet.)

:p

Now I'm just waiting for my vape mail to arrive. Hurry! Hurry! Hurry! :D

Had to replace 2 AW 18650 batteries, but didn't HAVE to buy this!

That looks like it belongs in a museum under inch-thick glass and invisible laser beams.

Wait, you stole that from a museum, didn't you?

Seventh dynasty Ming drip tip thief! I found her! I found her! She's right here!

I'm going to try to go a full year without spending a dime on vape stuff. 1/4 of the way there :)
Does this mean you're up to nine cents and holding?

CKCalmer, this is where I spend most of my vape budget! I so admire the artistry of hand made stuff, and the fact that I can top off my tanks with one of these Molehilll Mountain Drip Tips is just the icing on the cake. Like a beautiful woman's hair or a male lion's mane, superflous but enticing, decorative and a sign of of things to come. :p

I and others have put pictures of our Molehill tips in a "brag" thread in accessories. Lots of pretties there, but also some "guy" tips! Doug, who turns these, can make them of whatever size and shape and material you want. They've done plenty of custom tips. I do have several that I display on their own individual stand (bent paper clip) and only vape on special occasions.

Thanks for your humorous comment. Made my day!

They're definitely beautiful, CCG. I indulge my eyes in the MMH thread from time to time, just to see the hand-made "beauty of the day".

The quality of work is remarkable. In fact, when I have a moment, I'm going to look for a pic of a Ming dynasty vase and place it next to your pic on my screen. I bet neither will look out of place.
