Haha, all these responses are hilarious! Well I guess I can dish about Steve's rather annoying habits. :) He does drop his clothes anywhere and everywhere even if I have just cleaned so that everything is put away and tidy. He has gotten into the "leaving the toilet seat up" habit lately, and I've caught the dogs drinking out of it...yuck.

I think the most annoying thing is when he's playing on his playstation (or on the forums) and I try to talk to him and he completely ignores me as if I'm not even in the room. I don't think an earthquake would break his concentration! I could go on and on, as I'm sure most of you could, but I'll leave it at that...for now. ;-)

I haven't had the luxury of living with my husband yet (mil wife here, he had to leave right after we got married), however I CAN say, that he can annoy me just as bad over the phone. Actually, I think he annoys me more over the phone than he does in person. HA HA. But then again, maybe that's cause we haven't lived together yet. That will change come September though.

It depends on how he was raised. if his mother treated him like the jr. Lord of the manor..you will have some serious retraining to do. If he was raised like my son..he can cook and do for himself! Hubby's dad raised him so he thinks nothing of cleaning and cooking, 21 years Military service also helped his attitude.
You said you were a new Military wife? Welcome to the club! I am a retiree's wife and daughter. Those boot camps help a lot..lol!
Thank you and your husband for his Military Service, it is greatly appreciated.

HA HA. Thanks Kelly. It hasn't always been easy. I think what helps me the most is I was so used to being by myself and extremely independent anyway before we met, that even though I miss him when he's gone, I don't feel completely lost and wanna cry every night. A lot of my friends don't see how I do it, but I think that's what really has helped me.

Trish! That was a great link..I really laughed!:D
If it wasn't Mike I will eat my hat..but my name isn't Sue..so I would have to kill him instead!
Mike has a love afair with his riding mower. We had lots of young plants in our yard when we moved here, apparently they don't take to being mowed down. He hates anything that gets in his way, we have a couple of small trees that have been hit so many times that they grow funny. He also has a weedeater that I can't handle, he has "torked" it up ala Tim the tool man. It not only eats weeds it scares the neighbors dogs! They are 2 and 1/2 acres away.

LOL this thread is great.

I have been with my hubby for 13 years. And its been one heck of a roller coaster.

He is an only child. So yes he was/is spoiled. He gets what he wants from mom.
Car 1 - broke down.
Car 2 he blow the engine out of it
truck 3 we still have BUT he has screwed it up so now I have it. And he is driving my van that I bought 4 years ago.

Now we have paid for NONE of those. His mom bought them. He put 10k on a credit card last year.. Nope not ours. His mom's. This year he has reached the 8k mark. Its his card that his mom pays for. She pays the house payment 5 months out of the year. She fills our gas tank.

We own 1.2 acres of land. In the desert. Does it get taken care of NOPE. I can barely get him to haul the trash once a month. All because he was raised the women do it all. His mom mows the lawn does the trash cleans house laundry etc. His dad does NOTHING. And I stress NOTHING.

But I have changed that a little. He will do his own laundry. He keeps the seat down the the toilet. He does not pass gas around anyone or burp. Infact if one of the kids does oh he has a fit.
I refuse to let him cook much. It looks like a friggin tornado ran through the kitchen and he does not clean up after himself.
He is a big child that wants to be waited on hand and foot. But not be talked to or bothered. He hangs out in the bedroom except for when he isn't working.

I think he is stuck at the ripe old age of 14.

Had to put in my $0.02 on this one

I had a really good answer to the question but then I read all of your posts and started thinking about all my ex's and I guess I'm really lucky.. in the 2 months my BF and I have been living together he's only forgotten the toilet seat once. He does his own laundry and finds his own stuff.. even finds mine when I lose things. He even brings my laundry upstairs for me since I usually can't manage it (I might be 20 but sometimes my body feels like I'm OLD) He lets the dogs out at 6am every morning when I'm dragging myself out of bed barely able to stand. He does all kinds of stuff for me it seems asinine for me to complain about the things that irritate me.. but here they go..

He B*tches like a 60year old almost constantly... some one doesn't signal on the freeway its a 20min rant, someone stops too fast in front of him it's a 20min rant, the dog misses the pee pad its a 20min rant (I say that's what he gets for owning a rat the size of my dog's feet) everything big, small, indifferent.. it's a 20 min rant.. You don't even want to know how long he went off about the Walmart incedent!

He sleeps all day while I'm at work (no complaints there since he works nights) but as soon as I get home he's all full of energy and wants to go running all over town when I just want to relax

I'll be wanting attention (cuddles and mushy crap like that.. rare for me.. but yes it happens) and he's busy cuddling and playing with the dogs! (or video games)

HE talks during like EVERY move we watch  nuff said there

Finally.. the liquid portion of his diet is 99% soda pop! That drivs me nuts especially after I lost 40lbs by swearing off soda and I know that if he would do the same for just a few months he'd loose those 15lbs he's always whining about

But like I said.. after comparing him to all the other bf's I've had and seeing the complaints you ladies have.. I feel a little stupid even listing them

Had to add to this.. When I made that post before We'd been living together all of 2 months. Now that we've been living together for another 3.5....

He does not understand the concept that it is RUDE to interrupt someone when they are speaking!!

So I taught him a lesson the other day. I'd heard the balloon boy story at work and was going to tell him and a couple other people in the car the story while we were driving. After getting everyone's attention I just get started telling them .. maybe 2 sentences in, and he goes "HEY LOOK, A HUMMER!" and starts talking about the hummer, when he's done he goes "so wat's the rest of the story." .. I refused to tell him. Later a friend stopped by the house and started to bring it up, I cut the friend off and told him "you're not allowed to tell it in front of john, he's not allowed to know" and told him why. LOL 3 days this went on, any time the story was going to be covered on the radio, I turned it off, the tv - I change the channel. Totally kept him from learning the story until he was begging me to tell him and swearing he'd never interrupt me again....So far he hasn't. LOL

Maybe if you ladies have similar issues with your men you should try this? Might help lol

It used to drive me nuts that I'd talk to my Hubby when he was playing on line games and he would answer me and say "yes" or "uh, huh" so I THOUGHT he actually heard me. Then later I'd mention something I talked about and realize he hadn't heard a word I said. Now I play on line games and he fusses that he's been talking for 10 mins and I have no idea what he said. :) He gets so frustrated and I just tell him "well, now you know what it was like for me" Thankfully now we play the same game, and I find myself typing messages to him the same way I do to people in the game, even though he is in the same room with me. At least then I know he sees what I'm saying most of the time.
